What was the latest Invincible episode about?

The latest Invincible episode features a tragic character whose origin harkens back to the finale of season one, "Where I Really Come From". Mark has to confront someone who isn't a moustache-twirling supervillain who is hell-bent on taking over the world or wants to make money.

Rather the super-powered opponent in this episode wants Invincible to answer for his failure to save more people during his fight with Omni-Man. This mere mortal man (who has limited electrical powers already in the show), decides to hold Invincible accountable for his supposed role in the destruction of Chicago. It is a raw character study on the hollowness of the feeling of revenge.

The synopsis for this sad episode reads:

"A powerful new figure challenges Mark’s idea of what’s right and what’s wrong. Rae approaches Rex with a big life decision."

Will the post-credit scene be resolved in the upcoming episodes?

The post-credit scene of the latest episode hints at the next phase of Angstrom Levy's plan, to Attack the Mark Grayson we have followed for the previous two seasons using the evil variants of Invincible across the multi-verse. However, it remains to be seen if he will make his move in the next two episodes of season 3.

Six episodes of Invincible Season 3 are streaming on Prime Video. The finale of this season will be streamed on March 13, 2025.
