In Invincible Season 3 Episode 4, Mark finally confronts Cecil about the orb that has been spying on him for a while now. Now that Mark no longer works for him, he confronts him about the device, but Cecil denies having any connection with the orb.
Elsewhere, Mark and Eve have their second-first date together, but Mark is disturbed after learning the events of the future. He took a trip to the future and met a version of the Immortal he did not like, and learned that he made him that. He is worried that his actions will cause destruction.
Eve comforts him by saying that she would support him and stop him from repeating the mistakes his other versions did. The episode hints that Mark may change his destiny now that he has seen the future, with Eve by his side.
In addition, while Omni-Man had a close call in the Viltrumite prison, he did not die and was saved by Allen.

Mark meets a version of the Immortal in Invincible Season 3 Episode 4
Mark and Eve go on their second date in Paris, but it is again interrupted when Dropkick and Fightmaster drop in from a portal. They ask him to accompany them to the future, where a tyrant King has taken over and nobody can kill him.
They stole the Declaration of Independence because there was a rumor that making a bullet out of its ink would kill him, but it did not.
They explain the stakes: They can travel to the future only once, so it is their only shot. In Invincible Episode 4, the three go through the portal and reach a future timeline of Earth.
Since nobody would allow them to meet the king, they all get themselves arrested with the robot army. Mark is taken straight to the king, who is none other than the Immortal. Thinking that he is a version of Mark from his timeline, the Immortal asks him why he let him be the King when he knew power would reach his head.
He blames Mark for making him the king and then leaving him. While Mark did not want to kill the Immortal, he had to because he insisted many times. He finally killed him by decapitating his head from his body.
Omni-Man reveals a secret about the Viltrumites in Invincible Season 3 Episode 4
Invincible Episode 4's focus shifts and we are taken to the Viltrumite prison, where the Omni-Man, aka Nolan, is being executed. Allen encourages the other prisoners to rebel against the Viltrumite guards and save Nolan. The Battle Beast joins them because he is looking for a befitting opponent who can kill him.
They all reach the chamber where Nolan is being executed and begin their fight against the guard. This motivates Nolan to break free and join the fight. While fighting with the guards, Allen breaks free of the prison walls, and everybody is sent flying into space.
While the Battle Beast fights with the guards, Allen worries that they should hurry, as Talescria will soon learn about their escape and send reinforcements after them.
Then, Nolan tells him the secret about the Viltrumites: The empire is on its last leg, and only 50 true-blood Viltrumites remain. He also says that even if reinforcements are sent, they can easily fight against them because the army would be very small.
