MTV aired The Challenge 40 Episode 17 on December 18, 2024. The latest episode of the competition show, titled Location Change Era, featured various tasks. One of the challenges carried out during the episode was Fortress Bricks. For that, participants were supposed to run to the fortress and fetch planks to organize them correctly to solve a puzzle.
The task resulted in Cara Maria Sorbello's elimination, after which seven participants remained in the game. They were Jordan Wiseley, Kyland Young, Rachel Robinson, Michele Fitzgerald, Jenny West, Johnny Bananas, and Derek Chavez, who advanced to the show's next stage.
In the show's previous episode, Cara, Rachel, and Jenny were chosen for the task, which resulted in Cara's elimination in the 17th episode. As for the remaining candidates, The Challenge 40 fans took to social media platform X and shared their thoughts on Jordan Wiseley advancing to the show's finale.

One more fan wrote on X:
"Even if Rachel "won" ->Jordan chooses Jenny one of JoHnNys AnGelS to go against Tori, the elimination lasts 10 minutes if that. We all get a final where Tori and Cara can square off if that's what you want. What a fucking blunder #TheChallenge40 #TheChallenge."
A netizen commented:
"Jordan played it really smart this season. He avoided altercations, stayed out of other people's drama, spent time mending fences, strengthened existing relationships, & created new ones. I really respect his game this season. #TheChallenge #TheChallenge40 #TheChallengeEras."
A user shared on the platform:
"Either Jordan is just the GOAT or everybody on Season 40 is just morons but the fact that he's the only challenger in the Final to NOT see an elimination the entire season is Unbelievable. #TheChallenge #TheChallenge40."
A person reacted:
"He'll never get called out because every male is terrified to see him in an elimination & every female wants to have him as a partner in a Final. Win win situation for Jordan, regardless. #TheChallenge40."
Another user mentioned:
"Not only did he win the daily challenge for the guys but who wants to go against jordan in an elimination ? lol."
One more user shared how Jordan has won five daily challenges:
"He won 5 dailies including on the group stage when he was a target to keep himself safe. Plus tori won a bunch of dailies also. He played a perfect game."
Another user mentioned:
"Seeing Jordan Wiseley defending Cara Maria is making my heart happy… two of my favs finally like each other #TheChallenge40."
Some of the fans also criticized Jordan and shared:
"Just when you think you start to like Jordan he reminds you why he's a POS and always has been. #TheChallenge40."

The Challenge 40 fans react to Jordan Wiseley moving to the show's finale
The Challenge 40 Episode 17 featured the Fortress Bricks challenge. For that, players were supposed to go to the Spanish fortress and bring down 40 heavy bricks, two at a time. Hence, each participant was supposed to have a total of 20 runs. Additionally, ten planks were supposed to be carried upward.
After solving the puzzle, the planks were supposed to be organized in a certain way. Participants who finish all these tasks correctly will be declared as the winner of the task. While Jordan and Kyland were both fierce in their own game, Jordan won the task after Kyland failed to solve the puzzle before him.
As a result, The Challenge 40 saw Jordan advancing to the show's finale after winning the task in the 17th episode.
