"I've been hiding it my entire life": 90 Day Diaries star Chantel recalls her struggles because of her birthmark

TLC premiered 90 Day Diaries Season 6 on Monday, April 6, 2025. The debut episode of the latest season, titled Dear Diary, Today Was Hard, featured cast members including Chantel, Robert, Anny, Jenny, Sumit, and more.

One of the cast members, Chantel, opened up about the "biggest insecurity" she has lived with her whole life. Viewers who might already know Chantel must be aware of the birthmark on her stomach. 90 Day Diaries star Chantel opened up about her upcoming surgery and recalled the struggles she has faced since her childhood.

"Let me show you my birthmark. I've been hiding it my entire life. I was in middle school. I think my shirt came up, and a boy saw it, and he thought it was disgusting, and he started making fun of me to his friends. And from that day forward, I would cover it up with makeup because I still wanted to show my stomach, but I was making sure that I would conceal it."

90 Day Diaries Season 6 Episode 1: Chantel opens up about her birthmark, upcoming surgery to remove it, and struggles she has faced over the years

Recently premiered 90 Day Diaries Season 6 premiered with its first episode, starring cast members including Chantel. She had also been part of 90 Day: The Single Life. Chantel opened up about the visible birthmark on her stomach.

She opened up about how she was made fun of at school and how she has struggled over the years. Chantel revealed how she has been using various methods to conceal the mark.

"I've tried peels, I've tried lasers, I've tried creams, everything. The first night Pedro and I were ever intimate, and he saw my body, he started to cry. In hindsight, I wonder if it's because he was going to be stuck with such an ugly body. That's how I feel. But now, in just a few days, I'm finally getting my birthmark removed by undergoing plastic surgery," she said.

The 90 Day Diaries female cast member shared her excitement as she used make-up to conceal her birthmark "last time" before her surgery.

Chantel told the cameras that she has kept all her "trauma and insecurities" related to her birthmark close to her. She added that she had never opened up to anybody about that.

While confessing to the cameras, as she finished concealing, she noted that her birthmark was "not as noticeable."
