The drama continues off-screen for the ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as Kyle Richards reveals her attempts to reach out to former castmate Garcelle Beauvais have gone unanswered.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Richards opened up about the aftermath of Beauvais's departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
"I haven't heard from her," Richards told E! News in the interview airing April 8.
Elaborating:
"I texted her twice and haven't heard back."
The news dropped just a few weeks after Beauvais said she was leaving the hit Bravo show, which follows a group of rich, glamorous women juggling work, love, and plenty of drama in one of L.A.’s fanciest neighborhoods. Since it first aired back in 2010, RHOBH has been a go to for reality TV fans, thanks to its over the top lifestyles and iconic blowouts.
After tensions between the two ladies reached a breaking point in a dramatic reunion special at the end of Season 14, Beauvais decided to leave the show that made her a household name.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards comments on Garcelle’s exit
The April 1 The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion episode showcased significant friction between Beauvais and several castmates, particularly Richards. The 56-year-old "Halloween" actress took issue with Beauvais repeatedly questioning her friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.
Despite their on-camera conflict, Richards maintains she harbors no ill will toward her former co-star.
"It's unfortunate she left, but I do wish her the best," Richards explained during the E! interview.
Elaborating:
"I think she'll always do well, so I'm not worried about her next chapter."
The unanswered texts suggest the pair's relationship remains strained weeks after cameras stopped rolling. This communication breakdown represents a significant development in their already complicated history.
Garcelle Beauvais quickly won fans over with her no-nonsense attitude and direct approach after joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 10 back in 2020. In March, she officially announced she was stepping away from the show, saying she wanted to explore new career opportunities and focus on spending more quality time with her 17 year old twin sons, Jax and Jaid.
"It's been a wild ride," Beauvais shared in her Instagram announcement video.
Explaining:
"I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it's been a ride."
The former model and "Jamie Foxx Show" actress didn't completely close the door on a potential return, noting that executive producer Andy Cohen assured her she could come back.
"Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime," she stated.
Elaborating:
"The door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime."
Unresolved tensions with the wider cast explored
Sources close to production suggest Richards isn't the only cast member Beauvais has distanced herself from. Her friendship with Sutton Stracke allegedly suffered irreparable damage during the reunion taping.
The fallout reportedly centered on Stracke's reluctance to support Beauvais during confrontations with Richards about her relationship with Wade. Tensions escalated to such heights that Beauvais reportedly stormed off set and skipped the traditional post-reunion cast photo.
"Garcelle was livid at the reunion," according to an insider who spoke with Parade.
They explained further, saying:
"She felt totally blindsided by Sutton."
As Kyle Richards gets ready for her upcoming appearance on The CW’s Wild Cards, airing April 9, there’s still a big question hanging over The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: what happens now that Garcelle Beauvais is out?
The tension between Richards and Beauvais hasn’t exactly cooled off, and it’s a perfect example of how the line between reality TV drama and real-life friendships can get seriously blurry — something that’s made The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills such a cultural hit.
With filming for Season 15 just around the corner, fans are watching closely to see how the group dynamic shifts. Will Garcelle’s exit cause a lasting rift, or could it eventually pave the way for a heartfelt reunion down the line?
So far, Beauvais still hasn’t responded to Richards’ messages, a sign that this Beverly Hills story is far from wrapped.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs new episodes on Bravo every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. You can also stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
