Ever since Squid Game's Gi-hun decided to play the game of Ddakji with a stranger on the station, his life has been one whirlwind after another. Season 2 featured Gi-hun attempting with all his might to stop the games by staging a rebellion with his allies and Number 1. However, he is unsuccessful, and above it, unaware that his ally Number 1 is actually the Front Man. Most of Gi-hun's allies are mercilessly killed by the guards, including Jung-bae, in an attempt to send a message to Gi-hun.

Even though it looked like Gi-hun might actually succeed, the Front Man is always one step ahead and infiltrates the game, making it impossible for them to win against the guards. However, a hidden clue in Squid Game season 2 proves there is still a chance that a rebellion from the inside might just help in taking down the games.

One single action by a guard in Squid Game season 2 might set the path of rebellion for season 3.

Squid Game season 3 might see another rebellion, this time from the inside

The one character who stands out from all the rest is Park Gyu-Young's Kang No-eul. She is introduced in Season 2 of Squid Game as a North Korean defector whose only goal is to unite with her daughter, whom she had to leave behind. To find her daughter, she hires private detectives, and to earn the money for their fees, she works as a guard in the Squid Games.

Even though she appears to be a killing machine, we discover as the episodes proceed that she doesn't mind defying orders from the higher-ups if they're against her code. Even after she is punished for defying orders, she continues to work by her code. Once the rebellion seemed to falter, the guards showed no mercy when killing Gi-hun's allies, but one particular scene in the killing sequence might be a hidden clue for a possible rebellion in Season 3.

Gyeong-seok in Squid Game, aka player 246, is one of the allies who was shot for being a part of the rebellion. However, the guard who shot him appeared to have lowered their gun before shooting him. This might mean that they wanted to bullet to hit him in a less fatal area. Additionally, after player 246 is shot, the camera doesn't pan back at him again. All of this might point to the fact that a guard intentionally shoots player 246 in a less fatal area to keep him alive and offer him a chance at survival.

Since the guards are wearing their attire, which covers them up head to toe, we do not know who the guard is, but all signs point to them being Kang No-eul. The guard appeared to be smaller in stature compared to the other guards, meaning it could be her. Additionally, Kang No-eul has been player 246's guardian since the beginning of Squid Game season 2, and this would not be the first time that her shot, despite being a sharpshooter, is non-lethal.

Player 246 and No-eul entered the games with the same goal: to save their daughters. So, it would not be a far-fetched assumption that the woman who works part-time as a mascot in an amusement park for kids has a good heart and will rebel against the games and put a stop to them.

If this hidden clue in Season 2 turns out to be true, Season 3 might be setting up one of the greatest plot twists with an internal rebellion in Squid Game.

No-eul infiltrating the games from the inside would be an extremely fascinating plotline for Season 3 of the game. Only time will tell if this hidden clue in Season 2 will be fruitful for Gi-hun.
