Southern Hospitality cast member Will Kulp was accused of cheating on Emmy Sharrett in Season 3. During the reunion episode, viewers noticed that Will was absent as the remaining cast attended the event to address the controversies and conflicts. Emmy told show host Andy Cohen that Will was backstage and had decided not to join everyone else.
One of the main things viewers were looking forward to was Andy Cohen asking questions about Willy and Emmy's relationship. The Southern Hospitality cast member recently opened up about why he decided not to attend the reunion and claimed that reality TV isn't a format where "relationships thrive."
Kulp made his appearance on the Wednesday, March 12, 2025 episode of the Viall Files podcast, where Will expressed regret about not attending the Season 3 reunion. Additionally, he also talked about consciously deciding not to defend himself, as he knew the situation would get more entangled. Kulp said:
“It’s difficult for me. I think the clearest thing for me is that I’ll always support Emmy and her position on the show. I think that I have probably ruffled some feathers by not going to the reunion. I regret it a little bit.”
Southern Hospitality star Will Kulp reveals why he decided not to join his fellow castmates at the reunion
At the Southern Hospitality Season 3 reunion, it was revealed that Will Kulp was backstage but ultimately decided not to join everyone else at the reunion. In his podcast interview, Will explained that it would have been difficult for him to clarify the situation in front of the rest of the cast, especially after "the show had portrayed" him.
According to Kulp, defending himself would have complicated the matter further, which is why he came to the conclusion that he would be absent from the reunion. The Bravo celebrity mentioned that his fellow castmates were "sort of willing to say or do whatever" and implied that others were interested in adding fuel to the fire; he continued:
“The ways that I would address it would need a longform segment just to try to break down all the nuances. On top of that, the people on the stage I knew are just very interested in whether or not they are making it to the next season and are sort of willing to say or do whatever. It was just going to be a bloodbath."
The Southern Hospitality star continued elaborating on what it would have been like:
“It wasn’t like I could come on here and explain to you guys, ‘Hey, this is what happened,’ and we could have an engaging conversation. It would have been sort of two-steps forward, one-step back, two-steps forward, one-step back.”
Concluding the conversation, Will stated that he was no longer friends with people who he thought wanted the best for them. As per Kulp, they pretended to be his friends to be in "a position of power." Viewers wanted to know if Kulp would join the Southern Hospitality Season 4 cast, which he was unsure about.
All episodes of Southern Hospitality are available on Bravo TV and Peacock TV.
