Love is Blind couple Devin and Virginia got engaged during their time on the pods and headed straight towards a wedding. However, the most recent season 8 finale episode that dropped on March 7, 2025, confirmed that the two did not get married at the altar. It was a surprise to the fans when Virginia said no to marrying Devin.
Devin had made his stance clear in the pods itself when he reiterated his belief towards religion, trust, and family. Things soured in their relationship when the couple moved to the apartment complex in Minneapolis after spending a blissful time in Honduras.
It was obvious that their political views were different from each other. Devin was more on the conservative side, however, Virginia was liberal. Before getting married, the topic of a prenup was raised. Virginia wanted him to sign. Despite being skeptical of the same, Devin did the deed.
At the altar in episode 13, Devin said yes to a married life with Virginia, but she said no, claiming not to be ready for it. Revealing later, she said that he hid things from her, which raised issues in her mind about their future together.
"I don't regret my decision," she expressed.
Love is Blind star Virginia explains why she said no to Devin at the altar in Season 8
Virginia and Devin, despite their whole issue with a prenup, had a strong emotional connection going in. However, when she said no to Devin, his family was divided over the whole thing because Devin had said yes.
In a confessional on Love is Blind, she revealed what drove her to the negative decision. She wanted to bring up some of the topics with Devin, such as the politics that he was trying to avoid.
This was not a "dealbreaker" for her, but she still wanted to have a conversation about it, but he just did not give her a chance to. Virginia was searching for more depth to their bond together. She says she values peace, but that was lacking in her relationship with him.
The final blow came when Virginia found out that Devin had received a check as a wedding gift. However, he did not tell her the details. She wanted to feel like a couple who were getting married and sharing everything. Talking about the same, she said,
"I was just waiting to see if he would bring it up, but he didn't. It made me not so trusting of him."
Devin was visibly upset at the entire thing, and even his family was furious at Virginia. Expressing his emotions in a confessional after the fiasco, he said,
"The worst thing that could happen, happened. And I just feel kind of lost. I just don't understand why. This was unexpected. Regardless of everything that happened, I still care about her, and I love her."
Now, another huge detail about their relationship has come forward with a trailer that Netflix has dropped for the Love Is Blind reunion. We see the entire cast, where Virginia seems to be revealing another aspect about Devin that he hid.
At the reunion, she says,
"The night before our wedding, I see a note from an ex girlfriend on his nightstand."
This could hint at more possible reasons as to why Virginia said no. Details will thus be explored in the upcoming Love Is Blind reunion episode.
Love Is Blind season 8 episodes are streaming on Netflix right now. The reunion will drop on March 9, 2025.
