Shark Tank investor Lori Greiner reveals the beginning of her journey and how she made it
In her recently released Instagram reel, Shark Tank's mentor spoke about how she "acted" on her initial idea. Entrepreneurs must be aware of how executing the idea is crucial. She mentioned that after working on her idea, she learned various aspects of her business and brought it to the market.
"If you asked me how I did it, I would say, I acted on my idea. I learned every part of my business and brought it to the market," she said.
The female Shark often shares insights regarding various business startups and insights for entrepreneurs. In another video clip she shared on March 7, 2025, Lori Greiner asked her followers whether entrepreneurs are born or made. She shared her thoughts on the topic as well.
While most individuals would say entrepreneurs are "made," - Lori's take was a bit of a mixture. She stated that:
"I believe it's a blend. Some people are naturally lucky & born with an entrepreneurial spirit & what it takes. And that of course gives them an edge. But you can also shape who you are by experience & hard work. If you're willing to put in the effort & drive - you too can be entrepreneurial!"
The Shark Tank mentor also shared insights for entrepreneurs looking forward to gaining insights about products and customers. In her March 4, 2025 video clip, Lori Greiner discussed "marketing myopia."
It was when business owners focused "too much" on their product, not what their customers "really need." She chose a practical example to make her point.
She stated that a pizza place owner is too focused on creating a perfect pizza, and he/she is unaware of what their customers need:
"You're actually in the business of satisfying hunger and giving people a great experience. Here's the thing: Your pizza might be amazing, but if customers want faster delivery, gluten-free crusts or vegan cheese and you don't offer it, they'll go somewhere else."
The Shark Tank mentor advised entrepreneurs to put their customers first and focus on more than "just" the product. She meant focusing on customers' experience and their convenience. That was the way to create a "brand."
