Pop the Balloon, the reality TV show that follows a speed dating format, has hooked viewers with the unique approach to finding a potential partner. In the newly released live episode 2, single contestant Angela shortlisted two candidates. Initially, she felt Yinka and she had similar values, while Javien was also a good option.

During the Pop the Balloon Live episode 2, contestant Angela had to choose between two single cast members, Javien and Yinka. When Javien revealed that he talks to multiple people and chooses the strongest connection before getting into a relationship, Angela popped his balloon. She clarified that she was seeking a potential partner and wasn't willing to wait for someone to make a decision about her. She said:

"You guys are both great, super attractive. But I'm going to pop you. I had to pop him because he saying I'm going to make her wait, I want to be talking to this, that. I'm trying to get married. I'm not wasting no time."

The Netflix series format is described as follows:

Reality stars and everyday singles test their romantic chemistry in this live dating experiment hosted by Yvonne Orji.

Yinka didn't choose Angela on the Pop the Balloon Live episode 2

Pop the Balloon cast member Javien shared that it takes him some time to open up to people and decide whether he is ready for commitment and initiate a relationship with them. He elaborated:

"It takes me a long time to start dating you. I feel like I got to talk to you for a while. What that means is like, I got to talk to multiple people at the same time to get to feel them out. Once I start liking you, only you after a while, if it's only you then i start dating you."

After Angela decided to choose Yinka, the show host stated there was one more question left. Yinka asked Angela more about her faith and community. She shared that she felt at peace and a strong connection with the church community while prioritizing her spiritual wellbeing.

It was a surprise for the show host when Yinka decided to pop the balloon. He implied that Angela's questions about the horoscope could potentially mean they were not on the same page. Yinka stated that their values didn't align, as he felt her believing in horoscopes was "contradictory" :

"I have my reasons. So my reason is that you asked about the horoscope. You asked what his sign was, and then again, you're like, I'm not really into signs. So it's just really contradictory. And as a Christian, the horoscope thing doesn't make any sense to me. That's why I popped, you are extremely beautiful. That's the only reason I popped, to be honest."

The upcoming episodes will feature more single contestants who will get the chance to find their potential partner. The new episodes of Pop the Balloon air every Thursday at 8/7c on Netflix.
