Recently released Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 Episode 38 featured Carina and Paul at the altar. While she shared her vows, Paul got emotional. It was because Carina ended their relationship and walked away.

"I'm just blank, like I'm done. It wasn't easy. It wasn't easy. I was going back and forth.....I just can't. Like, I thought you would know me. Like you literally stayed at my family's home the week before. Like that doesn't fly with me," revealed Carina.

Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 Finale: Carina leaves Paul crying at the altar

Recently released Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 Finale featured the Final Vows of the couples. While a few of them vowed to be together, some parted ways. One of the couples who decided to end their relationship was Carina and Paul.

While at the altar, sharing the final vows, the female cast member read her vows with tears in her eyes:

"A few weeks ago, this decision would have been easy for me. There'd be no question I'd want to stay with you. But you threw it all away in a selfish act. You were given a test, which you failed. In my eyes, that was the final straw. I felt embarrassed, humiliated, disrespected. And I never want to feel like that again. I can't be with someone who makes me feel like I'm not enough. And no matter how hard I try, I can't look at you in the same way."

Carina was talking about the Final Task, where participants were given the choice to go on a date with their potential match. For that, many participants refused to go on a date with someone other than their partner.

However, a few, including Paul, chose to go on a date. After learning about his decision, Carina was shocked.

Listening to her vows and how he made her feel, Married At First Sight Australia star Paul got tears in his eyes. Carina continued reading her vows while getting even more tears:

"The trust is broken and I can't come back from that. Paul, I was yours. You had me and you ruined it. And now you're going to have to live with that for the rest of your life."

As Carina expressed her true feelings, Paul responded that he "seriously thought" they were going to move past this "one" and that he still had "hopes." The male cast member also got emotional and shared that he was in denial and that such a thing could not happen.

"Do you think you'll be able to forgive me, like, in the future? Maybe forget about it?" he asked.

To his question, Carina nodded in a "no." She then left him at the altar with tears in her eyes.
