"The collapse of growth in Canada from a GDP basis, the collapse of invested capital in the country, uh, debt per capita, um, foreign investment invested per capita, uh, completely chaotic immigration policy."

Kevin O'Leary was recently seen in talks with ITM Trading's Director of Global Media, Daniela Cambone, on The Daniela Cambone Show on January 8, 2025.

Referring to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's resignation from the PM office, Daniela asked Kevin O'Leary aka Mr. Wonderful, about the same.

He initiated the discussion about the "damage" done in the past 10 years and how he was not critiquing Trudeau but "criticizing the numbers." The Shark Tank investor further discussed the "collapse of growth in Canada, the collapse of invested capital, and the completely chaotic immigration policy."

Sharing more on the subject, Kevin O'Leary said:

"Policy around resources and energy that basically crushed the competitiveness so we dropped from Top country to bottom of the G20. There is no...there's no number you can measure during the Mandate of Trudeau that isn't a complete collapse and the one that finally did him in and rightfully so was wiping out 41% of Canadians net worth through their currency so that you can't take your child to Disneyland anymore."

The Shark Tank investor further discussed execution skills, the parliamentary system, and more:

"There is no question about that. Absolute lack of executional skills, inability to find cabinet members in a parliamentary system, particularly when he ad a majority mandate that could fulfill these roles, uh, putting a journalist in finance, complete disaster. It's never been done before. Why you would ever do that is beyond me."

Referring to the recent events that took place, Kevin mentioned he would be teaching such instances at Harvard, where he is going to be taking on another year as an "executive fellow."

Sharing the reason behind including such instances in his case studies, Kevin O'Leary mentioned:

"There's no excuse for it and I'm going to teach this uh, case at Harvard. I'm taking on another year as an executive fellow. Because I think it's important case about nation's competitiveness and the damage policy can do, and so, I think you know, where we're at now is a horrible place. It's an unbelievable situation."
