Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec has transformed the computer security and IT industry but does not shy away from dipping his toes in experimenting with other things. Those who have known enough about Herjavec's journey would know his stint as a celebrity participant in the famous reality TV show Dancing With The Stars.
The dancing reality TV show holds a special place in Robert Hejavec's heart. In 2015, he met his wife, Kym Johnson, who was also her partner on the show. But almost a decade ago, when he was shooting for the Canadian series Dragon's Den, he claimed that he wanted to be famous so that he could participate as a celebrity in DWTS.
Chiming in about the aforementioned story with Lewis Howes on his podcast, Robert revealed that his mother was an ardent fan of DWTS and when she was battling ovarian cancer, she used to watch the show and light up. Robert also mentioned that once her mother asked him why he did not join the show, and here is what the Shark Tank investor told her:
"I say without thinking about it, if they ever ask me I'll do it for you."
Robert added that his mother passed away, however, he kept his promise, and when he got a call from DWTS producers almost 10 years later, he happily said yes.

Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec is just not good with numbers but his moves as well. Staring as one of the celebrities in Dancing With The Stars Season 20 in 2015, he fulfilled a heartwarming promise made to her mother and on top of that found the love of his life, and wife, Kym Johnson.
Kym Johnson, the talented Australian professional ballroom dancer, became Robert's partner in Season 20, and their journey together was nothing short of enchanting. When they teamed up in 2015, neither of them could have predicted that just a year later, they'd be exchanging vows and embarking on a beautiful new chapter as husband and wife.
During an exclusive interview with The Sun, the Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec opened up about being the first couple getting married after the show and said:
"We were actually the first couple to ever get married on the show, but since then, you’ve had a few."
The couple got eliminated during the double eviction round but won the companionship of a lifetime in their lives.
Shark Tank Season 16 airs on ABC Network on Fridays.
