In a candid Instagram post that sent ripples through the Bravo-verse, Leva Bonaparte dropped a bombshell about her future on Southern Charm. The reality TV star and entrepreneur revealed her decision to step back from the show that has been her home for four seasons, leaving fans both surprised and intrigued. She wrote,

"Hi guys! Wanted to let you know that although this year was so fun, I'll be stepping away from Southern Charm this year on great terms!"

Elaborating further, she mentioned

"I am in a place now in my life where I want to have time to focus on Boys and my Joys. And need some time for a life reset on what is aligned for me!"

The announcement comes just before the Season 10 reunion, promising a dramatic finale to her Southern Charm journey that began with guest appearances in 2014 and became a full-time role in Season 7.

Behind Leva Bonaparte’s decision to leave Southern Charm

Bonaparte's departure isn't a complete goodbye to the Bravo world. Her fans can still catch her in full force on Southern Hospitality, the successful spinoff series centered around her Charleston bar, Republic.

"Where you will see me is on Southern Hospitality in full force where I can focus my energy on the business and the show that has really found its footing this year," she explained, giving fans a silver lining to her Southern Charm exit.

The restaurant owner and entrepreneur was refreshingly honest about her reasons for stepping away. Hinting at potential future projects that she promises to reveal soon, she stated,

"I don't have a very salacious personal life to share. But I am working on some pretty cool stuff"

Despite leaving the main show, Bonaparte made it clear her connections remain strong.

"I love my friends on Charm — wish them the best and I'll show up when they need me," she wrote.

Even hinting:

"Maybe you'll see me at a party or two throughout their new season."

Fans won't have to say goodbye just yet. Bonaparte is set to appear in the Season 10 reunion, where she's reportedly set to have a confrontational moment with Craig Conover, whom she apparently calls out as a bully.

What’s next for Leva?

While fans might be mourning her departure, Bonaparte seems excited about her next chapter. Her commitment to Southern Hospitality and hints of "pretty cool stuff" coming suggest this is less of an ending and more of a new beginning.

The future of Southern Charm is called into question by Bonaparte's departure. The show keeps changing as cast members come and depart, which keeps audiences alert and craving more drama.

The exit of Leva Bonaparte serves as a reminder that reality TV is just as much about entertainment as it is about personal development. Her elegant departure and ongoing appearance on Southern Hospitality demonstrate that sometimes taking a step back is simply another way to move forward.

Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
