Love is Blind Season 8 Finale: While Devin reveals his "I do," Virginia feels she is "not ready"
Netflix's reality show featured its finale where Love is Blind star Devin stated his vows. He said that Virginia was the most "caring, loving and genuine" person he'd ever met. He fell in love with her because of her "heart."
"You'd do anything for the people that you love, and I know that no matter what, you'd always have my back," said Devin.
The female cast member then expressed her feelings through her vows. Virginia told Devin that he brought her "so much joy." She mentioned how he "honored" all his commitments. After mentioning that she had "so much" respect for Devin as a person, she revealed that she was "not ready."
Her answer surprised many of the guests, along with Devin, as he got emotional. While on the altar, he could not stop crying and sobbed as Virginia refused to get married.
Later in the episode, the Love is Blind star told his mother it was "unexpected." His mother responded that the whole experiment was to "find somebody", so why did Virginia refuse to move forward?
On the other hand, Virginia got in the car with her mother and cousins. As she could not stop apologizing, one suggested she "stop apologizing."
"I was really going back and forth about what I wanted to do. Even when y'all left, I was like...'Who's gonna tell me what to do?'"
Love is Blind star Virginia later confessed to the cameras that she felt "sad" and "really bad." She revealed:
"I don't know if that's a cultural thing, but, like, it's always been important for me to protect him, so there were even topics that he didn't want to talk about, like politics. You know what I mean? There was just certain things he just didn't want me to push on," she confessed.
Even though they had "differences" in politics, it was not a "deal-breaker," as Virginia stated. She mentioned that, it was how the "communication" around that was handled.
