Shark Tank investor Lori emphasizes on celebrating small achievements

The Shark Tank Lori Greiner mentioned that during the journey of focusing on one specific goal, many people forget to appreciate themselves. The small achievements and progress they have made along the way should be celebrated which further adds to motivation to reach the next step. According to Lori, the majority tends to "downplay" the small accomplishments and wait for something huge to happen for them to acknowledge.

This usually happens when people wait for a specific milestone to achieve and have the mindset that they don't desire appreciation until they reach their final desired goal. Lori encouraged others to have a positive mindset and praise themselves for coming this far even if the goal has not been completed yet. She said:

"Instead celebrate the small things, very few people celebrate. Instead, they wait for something huge to happen. If you wait until that point, you may never be celebrating."

Focusing on minor achievements is important to motivate yourself which also boosts confidence. The Shark Tank investor continued:

"There are so many little things in our life worth celebrating, you just have to focus on those. You don't have to wait for something huge to happen in order to celebrate, celebrate your wins no matter how big or how small."

Lori also shared an important piece of advice while advocating for giving yourself time as well. To achieve a specific goal, hard work and dedication are important, but some people neglect taking care of themselves or doing something fun. Lori elaborated why having something fun to look forward to daily is equally important, she concluded:

"Make every day a party in some way. Something fun should happen daily along with all of the hard work. You deserve it. Don't you?'"
