"I was cheated a lot": Love is Blind: Germany star Hanni opens up about being unable to say "I love you"

Love is Blind: Germany Reunion premiered on Netflix on January 19, 2025. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the latest episode to learn about all the participants' current statuses.

Seeing the reunion episode, viewers got a closer look at who were still together and which participants parted ways. One of the couples who had a complicated relationship in the social experiment was Hanni and Daniel.

During the Love is Blind: Germany reunion episode, when the show host Stephanie Brungs talked about confessing love to the respective partner, she referred to Hanni. Fans must remember how, during the show, the female cast member revealed that she hadn't been able to say "I love you" to her partner.

"It started in my first relationship where I was cheated a lot. Saying "I love you" has nothing to do with me not feeling it. Of course I've felt it intensely, but I never had enough trust and security to just say it," said Hanni.

After the host, Stephanie Brungs, mentioned the importance of confessing love, Alina and Ilias shared how they felt confessing their love during their wedding ceremony.

The host then turned to Hanni, one of the popular participants from the experiment, and asked her the same:

"That also played a role for other couples, those three words. Consider Hanni and Daniel. You told Daniel in the pods that you had never said that to a man. Was that a feelings thing for you, you never felt that way for a man, or just the simple fact that you were too shy to say it?"

Love is Blind: Germany star Hanni revealed that in her first relationship, she was cheated on a "lot." She added that sharing "I love you" had nothing to do with "not feeling" it because she also felt it "intensely." She mentioned not having enough trust and "security" to say it.

When the host questioned Hanni about confessing her love to her connection from the show, Daniel, Hanni added:

"Yes, definitely. I felt it in me. And I talked positively about him because he was good for me. So yeah."

Listening to Hanni and seeing Daniel smile, the hosts then turned to him and asked how he felt about such words coming from Hanni.

"I honestly knew the whole time. I mean, sure, we never spoke really openly about it, but it was a special bond, so it's just nice to hear it again. You can repeat it, if you'd like. But...we'll take our time."

Further on Love is Blind: Germany reunion, the hosts asked Sally and Medina about their thoughts. They were one of the three couples whose wedding ceremony was carried out on the show. However, they also, similar to Hanni and Daniel, didn't get married on the show.
