Star Wars: Skeleton Crew concluded its eight-episode run on January 14, 2025. Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB successfully managed to save their planet At Attin from dangerous pirates led by a mysterious Force user Jod Na Nawood/Captain Silvo. Almost two and a half weeks after the finale's streaming, fans were wondering about a follow-up.
As of now, nothing is official yet. Be it creators Christopher Ford and Jon Watts, or Wim actor Ravi Cabot-Conyers, all have expressed interest in continuing the story. Ford and Watts revealed that they both figured out where they wanted to go in case the show was renewed. While the Wim actor just expressed hope for a Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Season 2.
What did Star Wars: Skeleton Crew actor Ravi Cabot-Conyers say about season 2?
Ravi Cabot-Conyers had an exclusive interview with writer Russ Milheim from The Direct on January 26, 2025. In the interview, Conyers revealed how likely it is for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew to continue. He said this when he was asked whether fans should hope for the second season:
"I can only dream. I would say definitely be hopeful about it. We don't even know yet, so there's really no telling. That would be awesome. Like, who would say no to that? Come on now. We've all got to fight for it, we got to dream it into existence. It could definitely be a possibility. And that would be so amazing if there was, and I'd be so excited."
In the same interview, the actor also expressed hope of crossing over with another beloved Star Wars character in the future. Here is what he said:
"Grogu. I always thought about this. [Jon Watts], the director, actually mentioned this, how cool it would be if Wim ended up meeting Grogu. That would be so awesome. And I was like, wow, I thought of that too. That would be so cool. Because it was around the time, it was a little bit after Season 2 came out, I think. And so, everyone was like dying over Grogu, and one can only hope for something like that. That would be really awesome. I'd love to see what fans think about that. I feel like that would be awesome."
Here is to hoping that this young actor is granted his wish with both, a renewal of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and a crossover with Grogu. He wasn't the only one who is currently hoping for renewal though.
Who else is hoping for season 2 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew?
In the season finale of Skeleton Crew, the barrier shielding At Attin is destroyed and it is finally revealed to the entire galaxy. Even if the events of the series unfold after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, no one in At Attin including the droid supervisor is aware of the fall of the Empire.
The destruction of the barrier forces the people of At Attin to adapt to a new galaxy. Christopher Ford and Jon Watts had an interview with TVLine to discuss the finale and the future. The creators discussed how the finale will force the people of At Attin to shed their isolation policy. Here is what Ford said:
"What’s so fun about it is At Attin has lost its protective nest, its childhood. The planet gets to be an awkward teenager."
Co-creator Jon Watts added:
"The parents now have to grow up, which is an interesting wrinkle to the concept we explored in the first season."
When the topic of the second season came up, Jon Watta revealed:
"We know exactly what we would want to show, we have figured all of that out."
It's been just two and half weeks since the finale of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, "The Real Good Guys" was made accessible. If you want a second season, stream the entire season on Disney+ and recommend it to others to boost viewership numbers.
