While he was talking about "magical beginnings" and "painful endings," Veronica told the cameras that she was confused:

"I was a bit confused. I didn't really know what he was talking about."

Married At First Sight: Australia experts agreed on giving Eliot another chance at finding love. With that in mind, the male cast member was matched with Veronica, 32, a personal trainer and actor.

The latest episode of the social experiment featured vows exchanged between Eliot and Veronica. While two of Veronica's friends witnessed the ceremony, there was no one from Eliot's side.

Soon, he uttered his vows in the presence of the officiant beside Veronica's two friends.

"So these are going to seem a little bit confusing. All right? I feel like I need to start these vows with a record scratch and freeze frame. Yep. That's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up here. But honestly, it's been a pretty unlikely set of events that have led us to be standing in front of each other right now. One thing I'll never be accused of is being unclear with my expectations."

He added:

"So, in the spirit of this, here's a couple of things that I'm looking for on you. The authenticity. Honesty is also a non-negotiable. And lastly, you don't take anything too personally. Laughing at some of my stupid jokes probably wouldn't hurt either."

Listening to that, Veronica fake laughed and asked him, "Like that one?" and he agreed.

Eliot continued with his vows as he stated that he had observed that we are too quick to label it whenever something happens, either good or bad. However, he stated that "magical beginnings are sometimes disguised as painful endings."

When listening to the vows, Married At First Sight: Australia star Veronica confessed she was a "bit confused." She added that she didn't "really know" what Eliot was discussing.

Further in his vows, Eliot mentioned that he was hoping that what he was seeing was a "light", he hoped that it would turn out to be a "magical beginning" and not "another train hurtling" towards him.
