Hunter Doohan's guest credit in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4 hints that he might be playing Muse

Daredevil: Born Again streamed its fourth episode on March 18, 2025. The episode's closing credits include the name of an actor named Hunter Doohan. Until now, Doohan was seen only once, in the second episode, when he asked Heather Glenn for help. But we haven't seen him anywhere since then, but even then his name is included as a guest star in the closing credits of "Sic Semper Systema".

His inclusion as a guest star seemingly hints that the 31-year-old American actor might be playing the psychotic muralist Muse in Daredevil: Born Again. The previous three episodes of the series included hints at the looming threat of Muse for a while in the form of murals on the walls. We finally see how he creates his murals in the series in the fourth episode.

His inclusion as a guest star while not being seen anywhere in the episode is what had viewers and Marvel fans theorize that Hunter Doohan might be the one playing Muse in Daredevil: Born Again. If he isn't seen physically as a person in the episode, then the actor might be someone who is wearing a mask according to the fans. It also must be noted that his character Bastian was a bit suspicious in the second episode.

Who is Daredevil: Born Again's Muse?

In the fourth episode, we see Muse carrying a man through a dark tunnel. It isn't until the concluding moments that we learn what happens to the man. He drains the blood of his hostage to use it as a color for his murals. This aspect is directly taken from the comics, as the Banksy-inspired artist uses blood and sometimes probably even other organs for painting his artworks.

Given that Born Again is rated R, the people involved in the series can go all the way with the gore factor with Muse. It remains to be seen how the series will adapt one of Muse's most well-known moments, the blinding of Samuel Chung, who is the vigilante called Blindspot. That's because Chung hasn't been set up in Daredevil: Born Again as of now.

But Muse may use his inhuman superstrength to seriously maim his victims, giving this Disney+ series its R rating.

Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio are back as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin respectively. Other than them, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll returned for the first two episodes in which Henson's Foggy Nelson passed away in the opening moments of the first episode. Woll on the other hand, was last seen in the second episode that reveals her Karen to be working in San Francisco.
