There is going to be a Wednesday Addams Season 2 change in the upcoming season of Wednesday, which makes sense and will not be so bad. When Wednesday first arrived on Netflix, viewers met a dark and guarded Wednesday Addams who wanted nothing to do with others. Nevermore Academy, full of outcasts and colorful characters, felt like a prison to her.

Wednesday viewed her roommate, Enid Sinclair, as unbearable. Their differences were clear from the very beginning. Wednesday was cold and distant, while Enid was bright, cheerful, and full of life. At first, Wednesday wanted nothing more than to leave Nevermore. She believed everyone around her was a distraction from her goals.

However, Enid’s persistence, kindness, and friendship slowly made an impact. Through loyalty and care, Enid helped Wednesday realize that some people truly wanted to be her friend, a lesson that becomes the central point of the Wednesday Addams Season 2 change.

What is the Wednesday Addams Season 2 change?

Throughout Season 1, Wednesday and Enid’s bond grew stronger. Despite many arguments and clashing personalities, they came to trust and support one another. The hug they shared at the end of the first season showed just how far Wednesday had come. It was a clear sign that she was learning to accept friendship, which will be the Wednesday Addams Season 2 change deeply explored.

The Wednesday Addams Season 2 is of deep importance. In the new trailer, we see Wednesday back at Nevermore, facing new threats with a more open mind. Enid is right there with her, not just as a roommate, but as a true friend. Their friendship looks stronger than ever, highlighting Wednesday’s growth.

Enid, too, is going to go through her own transformation. She is going to be bolder and step out of her usual bright and bubbly image. The creators of the show, Michael Goughes and Miles Millar, in conversation with Good Housekeeping, commented on another aspect of Wednesday Addams Season 2's change, saying,

"Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore".

This matches the show's shift towards a darker, more horror-focused tone for Season 2. Instead of just following Wednesday, Enid is now standing alongside her as an equal, ready to face whatever dangers come their way.

Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday and is now also one of the executive producers, said in an interview with ScreenRant,

‘’It's so easy to be moved by Emma Myers. It is so easy. She's such a sweetheart, and Enid is such a ray of sunshine. And I think that's scary to Wednesday, which is why she likes it. It's very easy to toe the line with her, and I think that dynamic was very natural.
Everyone knows that super sunny, happy person and that super dark, depressing person. When they get together, there's something really relatable and beautiful about it. Those are always my favorite dynamics, and I think it came very naturally.’’

The Wednesday Addams Season 2 change is also going to be explored by showing us how Wednesday embraces her relationships while still being her dark and sharp self. Her friendship with Enid makes her realize that she doesn’t have to lose herself to let people in; true friends will accept her exactly as she is. This Wednesday Addams Season 2 change makes sense, given everything Wednesday experienced in Season 1 and the close bond she formed with Enid.

Overall, the Wednesday Addams Season 2 change, which is evident in the Wednesday Season 2 trailer, feels real and gradual. Thanks to Enid’s support, Wednesday is no longer the isolated girl she was at the start of the series. She is growing into someone who can face even greater challenges, not alone, but with people she trusts by her side. This Wednesday Addams Season 2 change will no doubt make Wednesday Season 2 even more thrilling and emotional for fans.

Part one of Wednesday season 2 comes out on 6th August and part two on 3rd September 2025 on Netflix.
