What do we know about the House of David?

Stephen Lang is playing Prophet Samuel in House of David. He emphasized how the makers have "humanized" various biblical figures that made him nostalgic while reading the script.

"It gave them a depth that they don't normally have. The stories themselves are colourful and simple enough to get our attention. But, in this series, it really examines the characters [and their] human qualities."

Michael Iskander is leading the show as King David. In an interview, Michael explains the origin of his character and appreciates how the show also depicts the shadows of a hero character, the pain, and the loss they suffer.

"I think he is the origin of a lot of hero stories. He's the original underdog story, the most unlikely candidate being chosen to do something that is impossible, But I don't think David knows that. I think he's just living his life. And he takes it day by day. And he doesn't know that he's a hero. He doesn't know that he's gonna be this big, great, super famous prophet."

The show also features some picturesque landscapes, providing authentic settings for the biblical drama, which is reportedly shot in Greece, Canada, and Calgary.
