The fantasy series American Gods, adapted from Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel, debuted on Starz in 2017 and ran for three seasons.
The show, developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, follows the story of an ex-convict, Shadow Moon, who meets a mysterious figure after being released from prison. The man, Mr. Wednesday/Greek God Odin, becomes a mysterious presence in his life, and Moon gets involved in a battle between the New and Old Gods.
The show stars Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Bruce Langley, and many more in the main roles.
Seasons 1-3 of the fantasy drama can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video with an add-on subscription to Starz.

Streaming details of American Gods
American Gods is a Starz exclusive show that aired on the network every week on Sunday. It became available on the Starz app, which currently offers a monthly subscription at only $2.99.
However, viewers can watch the show by buying/renting its seasons on Amazon Prime Video or adding a Starz subscription. Amazon Prime Video offers various bundle services with networks like Starz and Lionsgate.
All three seasons of the fantasy drama can be watched on Prime Video by adding a Starz subscription to your existing plan for just $1.99/month. While the add-on is regularly available at $10.99/month, the network is currently offering an 83% discount on the Starz add-on, which is a steal deal.

Starz canceled American Gods after three seasons
While Season 1 was critically acclaimed and received good ratings, a drastic decrease in numbers from Season 1 to 3 forced Starz Network to cancel this fantasy show after three seasons.
In March 2021, a Starz spokesperson announced the show's cancellation after three seasons:
“American Gods will not return for a fourth season. Everyone at Starz is grateful to the dedicated cast and crew, and our partners at Fremantle who brought author and executive producer Neil Gaiman’s ever-relevant story to life that speaks to the cultural climate of our country.”
After its cancellation, another of Gaiman's works, Anansi Boys (connected to American Gods), was announced and was also in production with Amazon Prime Video.
However, recent sexual allegations against Gaiman have jeopardized the future of Anansi Boys and many of his ongoing adaptations. While Gaiman has denied all these allegations, many comic book publishers and networks are hesitating to collaborate with the author on future projects, making the future of Anansi Boys uncertain.
Starz also expressed its desire to conclude the American Gods saga through a feature film since it abruptly ended after Season 3, but in light of the current allegations against its author, no further development is confirmed on the same.
