The conclusion of Superman and Lois Season 4 ended the last remnants of DC's Arrowverse, which debuted on the CW in 2012.
Arrowverse is DC's most important and interconnected Superhero franchise. It began with the Arrow series and brought many DC comics superheroes to life through various shows. Crossover events and show references are an important part of this franchise, which ensures that all the shows fall under the big Umbrella, i.e., Arrowverse.
New shows like The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Black Lightning kept the franchise alive. While Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch were introduced as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois, respectively, in Supergirl, they got their spin-off show in 2021.
While Season 1 of the show did not explicitly mention its connection to the Arrowverse, showrunner Todd Helbing finally acknowledged during Season 2 that Superman and Lois is not part of the Arrowverse but a separate show based on the family life of the Kents in Smallville.

Superman and Lois showrunner confirmed that the show is not a core part of the Arrowverse during the Season 2 finale
After the biggest crossover event, the Crisis on Infinite Earths, only one Earth existed after this crisis, Earth Prime. While this theory suggests that Superman and Lois take place on Earth-Prime, their two teenage sons suggest that they are not a part of the Arrowverse.
In addition, the show did not have any crossovers or explicit references to the Arrowverse, which suggests that it is a separate show.
Showrunner Todd Helbing confirmed the show's independent stance in an interview with TV Line after the Season 2 finale,
“DC and I had a conversation during Season 1, and the decision [to keep Superman & Lois separate] was made then... we want to put our own stamp on the Superman property. This wasn’t meant to alienate us from the Arrowverse, but because a lot of the other shows are sadly no longer going to be on the air, it felt like the right thing to do.”
He added,
“we have to think about this as a separate Superman, a doppelganger of the one who was in the Arrowverse,”
Arrowverse's core universe ended in 2023 with The Flash
While Superman and Lois were born out of the Arrowverse because the characters were introduced on Supergirl, Helbing's remarks about the show not being a core part of the franchise meant that Arrowverse ended with The Flash in 2023.
The Flash's finale marked the end of the franchise with an emotional farewell speech, appearances by many Arrowverse alumni, and tying up many storylines.
While Superman and Lois started as part of the Arrowverse, COVID-19 restrictions for a crossover and the CW's cancellation of many Arrowverse shows led to Warner Bros. finally deciding to keep the show separate and have its own storyline.
Clark and Lois will always be connected to the Arrowverse since they were introduced in Supergirl. Still, the show has proved its independent footing and finally ended with Superman ending Doomsday and sending Lex Luthor to prison again in the Season 4 finale.
The show also marked the end for Tyler Hoechlin's Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch's Lois, as they both die after living full lives with their children.
