Ramy Youssef hosted SNL last year and shook the internet with his comedic monologue while respectfully raising awareness about the Israel-Palestine war. However, this has piqued the curiosity of fans who wish to know how rich the star is.

The SNL comedian was born in New York City and has worked on shows such as See Dad Run. His most successful work on television has been the series Ramy, in which he starred as Ramy himself, which won a Golden Globe award.

During his performance on SNL, Ramy was appreciated for his calm demeanor and relaxed delivery of the monologue. Fans claimed that they had never seen anyone as "chill" as him while they were doing a monologue at Studio 8H, Rockefeller Center.

Ramy Youssef's net worth is $2 million, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth.

It is not the first time that a celebrity has used their platform on SNL to make political statements. However, if they cause too much controversy, the stars are at risk of being permanently banned from the show.

Last year, when he hosted the episode on March 31st, 2024, Ramy let his feelings be known about the war in Gaza and called for prayers for all the hostages that are being held. He said,

“I got a friend, Ahmed, calling me. His whole family is in Gaza, and he goes, ‘Ramy, they’re suffering. I don’t know where half of them are. I don’t know what to do. Please pray for them. It’s the only thing we can do.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, I got you.' So that night, I go to pray, and my prayers are complicated."

He added,

"I’ve got a lot to fit in. I’m like, ‘God, please, please help Achmed’s family. Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence. Please free the people of Palestine, please. Please. And please free the hostages, all the hostages, please.’”

Recently, as he sat down with the New York Times, Youssef opened up about how he feels regarding the SNL monologue and the statement that he put out with the same. He acknowledged that saying 'Free Palestine' on the show was not a usual thing, but he did what he had to do.

He feels that it would have been "nerve racking" for him to stay silent on the issue at the time and "shield" himself from the hatred that he might get afterwards, which he did.

Reflecting on his monologue, Ramy said that everything he spoke during the SNL monologue was "completely inoffensive." He said,

"What I said is completely inoffensive. People are sensitive about it. Or people might say: 'Well, why didn't you say this? Or why didn't you do that?' But there's nothing controversial about any of it."

The ongoing SNL Season 50 drops new episodes every week on Sundays at 11:30 PM Eastern Time from Studio 8H, Rockefeller Center on NBC. The episodes are later available to watch online via Peacock.
