He landed a place in Joseph Papp's Black/Hispanic Shakespeare Company, while he was at NYU. He worked with Morgan Freeman and CCH Pounder as his fellow actors.

Reginald then dove into acting and started his initial days with a small role in Ghostbusters in 1984, where he portrayed the brief but effective character of a Municipal corrections officer. He also appeared in Crocodile Dundee as a Limo driver during his initial days.

His portrayal of AI Powell in the action film, Die Hard in 1988 brought him widespread recognition. He revived his role as AI Powell in Die Hard 2 in 1990. Reginald then ventured into the world of sitcoms and was featured as Carl Winslow in Family Matters.

In 2023, Reginald was also featured in advertisements produced by Progressive Insurance Company and acted as a 'TV dad', a parody of his character Carl Winslow.

Reginald and Emma performed Paso Doble in week 2, 'Oscar Night', and gathered appreciation from all three judges.
