Amazon Prime Video's Reacher Season 3 finale finally saw our titular hero taking care of his unfinished business with Xavier Quinn, the man Jack was hell-bent on taking revenge on because he tortured and murdered one of his mentees years ago.

While Quinn outsmarted Jack and his team in the penultimate episode, Susan, Neagley, and Villanueva all play their part and help the titular hero finish Quinn once and for all.

After rescuing Teresa and killing Paulie, Jack finally comes face-to-face with Quinn, thanks to Neagley's quick wit, and puts a bullet in his face, ending his 'unfinished business' with his nemesis.

More on Reacher's 'Unfinished Business' with Quinn in Season 3 in our story.

What was Reacher's unfinished business with Quinn in Season 3? Exploring their history in Reacher

In Jack's own words, which he used to describe Quinn to Agent Susan Duffy in Reacher Season 3 Episode 4:

''[he is] the single worst person I've ever known."

Considering Jack's tragic history with Quinn, his statement is justified. The viewers first learn about the titular hero's vendetta or unfinished business with Quinn in Season 3, Episode 4, where he opens up about a past assignment with Agent Duffy.

Jack remembers one of his mentees, Dominique Kohl, a young, bright woman working under the hero and with whom he had formed an unlikely friendship. They both were investigating Xavier Quinn, an ex-military officer who was suspected of leaking state secrets to a Syrian man.

When the duo finally arrested an officer named Gorowski for selling these said secrets, he revealed that he was forced to do so by Quinn, who had kidnapped his family.

After closing in on Quinn's location, Reacher lets Kohl take the lead, and she goes to the location alone to arrest him. However, Jack soon realises that something is off and reaches Quinn's safe house in Linton, where he finds Kohl's mutilated body hanging from the ceiling, covered in blood, and signs that Quinn fled the scene.

After Jack realizes he is still alive, he vows to complete his 'unfinished business' and avenge Kohl's death in Reacher Season 3.

Reacher finally avenges Kohl's death in the Season 3 finale

While Quinn manages to outsmart Jack and his team by changing the location of the gun deal at the last minute in the penultimate episode, the titular hero is able to exact sweet revenge from his nemesis.

When Quinn realises that Jack and his team are about to close in on him, he tries to escape Beck's mansion but is stopped by the Russians, Thankfully, Neagley uses her wit and plans an exchange for Quinn in return for the money, lest she would blow the place with a (fake) grenade. The Russians cave in, and Quinn is finally left at the mercy of our hero.

While Quinn was still a little hazy about the events of the past and his history with Jack, the hero made sure that he remembered Kohl in his final moments. In the Reacher Season 3 finale, he makes Quinn remember:

“All you need to know it that her name was Dominique Kohl,”

While Quinn was trying to have a moment of recognition, Jack looks in eyes for one last time, shoots him dead for real and finally completes his 'unfinished business' once and for all.
