How many doctors does the revival era of Doctor Who have?
The original series ran from 1963 to 1989, running for sixteen years with a total of 26 seasons and over 690 episodes with the story often structured in multi-episode arcs. This allowed the creative team more latitude and also led to the show’s increased popularity across the world. That hasn’t been the case for the revived era of Doctor Who as while it does have multi-episode arcs, the focus has been more on single-episode storylines over the course of its run time so far. Not only that, there have been nearly as many Doctors despite there being ten seasons fewer comparatively.
