Star Wars fans have found their new holiday favorite this Christmas with Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. It is the first entry in the Star Wars franchise that's headlined by actual kids. The show follows a group of four kids who find themselves on an adventure spanning numerous planets.

Fans have been wondering about the number of planets they will get to see in the show. Well, the answer to that question can be answered definitively only after watching Star Wars: Skeleton Crew in its entirety, but for now, it is probably eight as new planets are introduced as the eight-episodic series progresses. But, let's go through the planets that the kids, SM-33, and Jod Na Nawood have visited in the four available episodes.

How many planets been introduced in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew till its latest episode? Details Explored

The four episodes that have been released feature one planet per episode. So, the prevailing theory is that eight episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will take place on eight different planets, i.e., one planet per episode. However, let us have a look at the four planets that the kids have visited throughout the four episodes:

1) At Attin

The home planet of kid protagonists Wim, Neel, KB, and Fern is At Attin, which is featured in the very first episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The very first thing to notice about At Attin is that stylistically, it looks like Earth. The four kids live in quaint suburban homes, and go to the same school. Even the people mostly look human, except Neel and KB.

Neel looks like an elephant, but he can talk like a human. KB, on the other hand, looks like a human, but she wears a visor linked to an implant on her head. The similarly designed homes of a suburb are something that we haven't seen in the Star Wars Universe. However, it remains to be seen if At Attin from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the mythical place that other species of the show have described it .

2) Port Borgo

We see this hub for pirates in the second episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew titled "Way, Way Out Past the Barrier". After leaving the planet, the kids realize that they can't spot At Attin out of multiple planets. After landing at Port Borgo with the help of the ship's android pilot SM-33, the kids find out about the shady nature of the planet.

At the planet, the kids are thrown together inside a cell, where they meet a supposed force user Jod Na Nawood, played by none other than Jude Law. He offers to help them escape from Port Borgo in exchange for visiting At Attin with them. Finally, it is at the beginning of the third episode "Very Interesting, as an Astrogation Problem" that the five hostages escape the dangerous planet.

3) The Observatory Moon

After escaping Port Borgo, Jod suggests to the kids that they visit the mysterious Observatory Moon, in which his acquaintance Kh'ymm lives. He says that Kh'ymm is capable of locating At Attin. Jod does warn them that Kh'ymm might betray them.

However, the truth may be more complicated as she (Kh'ymm) reveals that Jod is not to be trusted. When forced to reveal the truth, Jod confesses that he is not a Jedi, but offers to work for the four kids to help them reach At Attin.

4) At Achrann

The planet that appears in the lastest episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is At Achrann. At first, the kids think that they finally have reached At Attin, but they are mistaken as, despite the similarities, At Achrann is a dystopian landscape. The desolate condition of the planet is tied to endless wars, something that has even resulted in children being enlisted as soldiers.

In the end, the kids and Jod reach a location that probably might provide the coordinates for At Attin. Upon reaching there, they find out that the coordinates for At Attin were erased. In a shocking twist, SM-33 reveals that the previous captain ordered him to do so and to kill anyone who asks for At Attin's location. He is about to deliver a killing blow before being distracted by Neel and turned off by Jod.

The four episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew are available to stream on Disney+. The fifth episode will be released on December 24, 2024.
