The latest episode of Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 aired on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The 36th episode, titled The Final Dinner Party, featured how Paul's decision to date during the Final Task affected his partner, Carina.

During the dinner, along with Carina, a few of the fellow contestants confronted Paul about his decision to go on a date. Despite Paul's efforts to defend himself, neither Carina nor his fellow participants were convinced by his answers.

Married At First Sight Australia star Paul also agreed that his decision to go on a date was "stupid," but it did him no good as he had already damaged his relationship with Carina.

Seeing Paul in a critical situation after his decision to date with a potential match sparked a debate among the fans. They took to social media platform X and slammed him for his decision.

A fan wrote about Paul getting emotional in front of the camera:

"A guilty man crying…How very French of you Paul. #MAFS #MAFSau #MarriedAtFirstSight #MarriedAtFirstSightAustralia."

Another Married At First Sight Australia fan commented about how fellow cast member Jamie also went on a date similar to Paul:

"Jamie goes on the date out of curiosity and shes just a silly goose nobody says anything to her. Paul goes on the date out of curiosity and hes the devil reincarnated and the whole group interrogates him like he's a Russian spy #MAFSAU #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia #MAFSAustralia."

One more user shared similar comment:

"Jamie and Paul do the same thing...and only Paul is being ambushed. F**k Jeff, Rhi, Beth, Teejay. What a bunch of w*nkers....#TeamJacqui #MAFSAU #MAFSAustralia #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia."

An X user criticized Paul for his behavior:

"Paul is such a scumbag and vile. He always tries to play the victim. He punched a wall and used tears for Carina to forgive him. He told Whina private info Carina told in confidence and now he was curious about what his second match looked like #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia."

A netizen commented about Paul's behavior with Carina:

"Paul never lets Carina finish a single sentence. He talks over the top of her all the time. I don't know how she puts up with that. It's so rude. #MAFS #MAFSAU."

A Married At First Sight Australia fan wrote about how they are waiting for everyone to witness the date that Paul attended:

"I cannot wait, when they show everyone, Paul's date with the other chick at the reunion… #MAFSAU #MAFSAustralia #mafs."

A user shared about Paul being the "Wellness Advisor" and how he might need therapy himself:

"I cannot believe that bloke, Paul is a Wellness Advisor. He is the one who needs therapy. He makes up excuses on the run & lacks empathy & being a real man. He is just a 'pretty boy' wanting to be accepted."

A netizen wrote about Carina while mentioning Paul as a "crappy" person:

"Carina's eyes are finally being opened. It's only taken three months to see Paul is a crappy person and worse partner. He'll say anything to cover his lying a**. #MAFS #MAFSAU."

Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 Episode 36: Paul gets emotional while recalling his decision to go on a date with a potential match

The latest Married At First Sight Australia Season 12 episode featured Paul in a bit of a situation after he decided to go on a date. The dinner conversation was unpleasant after his partner and fellow cast mates learned about Paul's decision.

"If it's so easy to do that in this experiment, what's going to happen on the outside world when you do get attention?" Carina voiced her concerns.

In response, Paul stated that he understood Carina's point of view on the situation and why she had concerns about his behavior. However, he said he could reassure her that he took the date as a "task." He added that he didn't have that in him to sneak behind Carina's back and hurt her. A few of the cast members also confronted Paul about the same.

Paul said in his private confessional that he would apologize as much as he "needed to." During the dinner, when Carina mentioned that she was a "catch," Paul, in his confessional, got emotional.

"I guess once again, I've just put myself in that situation, so...I guess I just got what I deserved. I don't, I don't know."

During his confessional, he told the camera to give him "two seconds" as he held back his tears. Seeing him getting emotional sparked a debate among fans. Married At First Sight Australia fans took to social media platform X to share their views on Paul's decision and behavior.
