House of Villains season 2 aired its finale and crowned the winner on Dec 19. Safaree Samuels, originally from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta took home the big win after defeating 10 "villains" in the house.
This reality TV competition brings together contestants from other reality shows. How are they picked, you ask? Producers pick the most infamous "villains" who are known for their manipulative strategies, drama, and controversial roles in various series.
This season began with 11 such contenders from shows, such as Big Brother 10, The Real World: Austin, The Real Housewives of Miami, Floor of Love 1, etc. By the end of the finale that went live on Thursday, Dec 19, host Joel McHale declared Safaree Samuels as 'America's Ultimate Supervillain'.
House of Villains Season 2 Finale Recap
As anticipated, after Wes Bergmann from The Challenger and Jessie Gooderz from Big Brother broke off their alliance, the finale kicked off with the two going into a confrontation.
Wes questioned Jessie for targeting him during the Hit List nomination and the conversation got a little diverted when Wes began gloating about his intelligence. Soon after, the remaining three Tiffany "New York" Pollard from The Flavor of Love, Larsa Pippen from The Real Housewives of Miami, and Safaree Samuels from Love & Hip Hop joined the two to compete for the huge cash prize of $200,000.
The last challenge of House of Villains Season 2
For the last challenge of this season, Joel welcomed Monica Garcia from The Voice of Eve 2.0.
In this task, rightly called "Arch Enemies," the remaining three (New York, Wes, and Larsa) had to identify who said the 9 quotes about them during this season. Once identified, they were required to build an arch and place the blocks with correct 'villains' pictures.
Though Wes was the first one to complete the puzzle, he failed to find all the right answers. Following him was Tiffany "New York" Pollard but before she could finish, Wes succeded in rectifying his mistakes securing a place in the top 3.
Most villainous moves by the finalists
As the episode progressed, Joel asked the finalists Jessie, Wes, and Safaree to share their most villainous moves during the House of Villains season 2.
Jessie recalled the incident when he betrayed Kandy, one of his closest allies. He also revealed that he had made a secret ally since the very beginning and it was New York.
Wes also revealed how he had already known New York before entering the show and how their alliance goes way back. He explained how the two rebounded on the show to help each other progress in the game.
Safaree reflected on his gameplay and recalled his interaction with Camilla on the day she got eliminated. He revealed he made a clever comment to her which highlighted his strategic deception.
Who won House of Villains Season 2?
Joel McHale revealed that the eliminated contestants will return to cast their votes to find 'America's Ultimate Supervillain.'
After everybody made their case as to why they deserved to win, Safaree won 4 votes from Camilla, Larsa, Kandy, and Teresa Giudice and Wes won 4 votes from New York, Richard, Larissa, and Victoria.
Jessie broke the tie when he put his vote for Safaree, making him the winner of this season.
Safaree Samuels won the title of 'America's Ultimate Supervillain' and a cash prize of $200,000 on House of Villains Season 2.
