Shark Tank investor, Mark Cuban, constantly weighs in on major happenings worldwide, whether it is about a new business, a new social media platform, or economy-related nuances like inflation, insurance, and more.

Mark Cuban is an active user of Blusky, a microblogging social media platform, which was founded in 2019 on Twitter, by then-Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey. The app has run independently since 2021 after Elon Musk acquired Twitter, Known as X now. In December 2024, a Blueskly user, @AmyL, commented about the issues housing market in Florida and wrote:

"Here in Florida we have a housing crisis of our own – developers are building affordable homes all around, but many are sitting empty because people can't afford the necessary home insurance."

Shark Tank judge, Mark Cuban, resonated with the Bluesky user's opinion and mentioned the problems that could affect housing affordability in coming years, especially in Florida. Mark posted on Bluesky, replying to the user, and wrote:

"Home insurance in areas hit by repetitive disasters will be the number one housing affordability issue over the next four years. And possibly going into the midterms. More so than interest rates. Florida in particular is going to have huge problems."

With constant calamities that Florida witnesses, Mark believed that home insurance could be a big kickback for the residents of Florida, and it required more focus than curbing the interest rate or inflation, as reported by Benzinga, a platform that avails financial news and insights.


Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban believes Bluesky is a better platform as compared to other social media platforms

Shark Tank investor, Mark Cuban, has been an ardent promoter of Bluesky as a better social media platform, especially as compared to Twitter, known as X now. Mark Cuban has 1.3 million followers on his Bluesky account, @mcuban.bsky.social.

During an interview with Jules Terpak on YouTube, the minority owner of Dallas Mavericks shared his views on why he thinks Bluesky could be an emerging platform, considering the social media climate. He remarked that all the other social media platforms, be it Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter are driven by algorithms, "except for one, Bluesky."

The host, Jules Terpak, resonated with Mark and admitted that a lot of her friends including herself are now looking to move to a different platform than Twitter.

Chiming about the potential of Bluesky, Mark encapsulated a few highlights of the Bluesky and said:

"This is the Holy Grail. There's a hide for everyone and there's block that really works. So what that means is you truly own your threads. So when you create, when you post everything that follows underneath, even the quote replies you have complete control over."
