Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary has always shown great intrigue and opinion about political happenings. Not just that; as an investor, he has a vested interest in the ruling government because it directly impacts the economy.
Before the 2024 US presidential election was convened, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary joined Chris Cuomo for an interview to chime in on the political climate of that time, the US presidential election of 2024, and its impact on the economy, among other things. He explained that he had been following the polls, each speech given by an important figure.
Kevin O'Leary explained his concerns regarding energy policies and how the world is eyeing the future of it. He explained that the potential of creating just electricity has "diminished drastically.". He then referred to Doug Burgum's CNBC speech in July 2024 and remarked:
"Everybody thinks he's either going to be Secretary of State Interior or Secretary of Energy. So his words matter, assuming Trump becomes president."
He elaborated on Doug Burgum's speech and said:
" What he basically said is we're going to use the balance sheet of America to get us out of debt by opening up our ability to create more energy through green forces, through solar, through Wind, through oil, through gas, through turbines, through everything in a portfolio."
After the 2024 US Presidential election, Doug Burggum became the US Secretary of Interior.
Here is what Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary said about Democrats choosing Kamala Harris for the presidential seat if Joe Biden drops out
In July 2024, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary joined Chris Cuomo in an interview and explained why he would be trimming down his investment in energy if Democrats kept Kamala Harris as the vice presidential candidate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election. His decision came from an economic stronghold rather than a political one.
He believed Trump's energy policies would be more beneficial, and therefore, if the presidential election was between Harris and Trump, he would wait for the election day results, citing Harris had been an "unpopular vice president.".
At the time of this interview, Joe Biden had not dropped out of President's candidature, and Democrats were eyeing Kamala Harris to be the Vice President again if they win.
Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary explained to Chris Cuomo that it would be a bad idea for the Democrats to put Kamala Harris in if Biden drops out "because they're going to lose.". He further explained that the "independent voters" would not vote for Kamala because of her "lack of execution skills.".
