Netflix will soon be coming out with a series inspired by the novel, His & Hers by Alice Feeney. The six-episode series will star Tessa Thompson, who will also serve as executive producer for the series.
The psychological thriller, His & Hers will also have Jessica Chastain as an executive producer. Audiences can expect the first episode to be directed by William Oldroyd. Dee Johnson will also be part of the crew as writer and showrunner.
What is His & Hers about?
The plot of the series is about a news anchor named Anna who has taken a leave from her job and is living in solitude in Atlanta. Living away from her husband, mother, colleagues, and friends, Anna begins to drift off.
As Anna hears of a murder in her hometown, Dahlonega, she can't help herself from jumping back into the field to report the crime. As Anna begins to look into the case deeper and deeper, Detective Jack can't help but think if Anna is just a mere observer or an actual suspect.
Cast of His & Hers
The series cast will feature Tessa Thompson as Anna and Jon Bernthal as Jack. Bernthal playes the role of Jack, a sheriff's office detective. After recently losing his job and being estranged from his wife, Anna, he lives in Dahlonega. Jack is gripped by a recent murder case assigned to him.
The series cast also includes Pablo Schreiber as Richard, a fine cameraman at WSK TV news. He is also married to Lexy Jones, an attractive reporter who assumed the job upon Anna's departure. As Anna returns to cover the murder case that's got everyone gripped, she recruits Richard as her cameraman.
The cast also consists of Crystal Fox playing the role of Alice, Sunita Mani playing the role of Priya, and Rebecca Rittenhouse playing the role of Lexy. Audiences will also catch a glimpse of Marin Ireland as Zoe. Unlike others, Ireland will take on a supporting role.
Fox will play the role of Alice who is Anna's mother. She is a loyal resident of Dahlonega and is a strong headed woman. While her daughter hasn't reached out to her in a while, she is still in touch with Jack who keeps an eye on her due to her declining health.
Mani, who will embody the role of Priya is Jack's new partner. She is witty, eccentric, and loves all things murder. Rittenhouse's character Lexy is relentless in her pursuit of Anna's job even when Anna returns to her position.
Is there a release date for His & Hers?
