The trailer opens with Selena Soto describing a case to her team. While Morgan feels quite interested in the case, Soto continues, 'Barry Johnson was murdered in the family home in the sauna. Any one of the family members could be one of our killers."
As the case unfolds and the investigation starts taking place, we see an attempt by the family members to cover for each other. The episode will feature the Johnson family and how Morgan would find the killer of Barry Johnson. As we see Morgan uncovering new evidence to solve the murder case, we might also see her juggling his personal life with Elliott, her son.
High Potential Season 1 Episode 10 Recap
The episode titled 'Chutes and Murder,' the episodes delves into the gruesome murder case of a babysitter Tara Foley. The episodes start with children playing on the slides. However, there is some obstruction in the slide, which happens to be the dead body of a woman. As the LAPD arrives, Morgan and his team find out that it is the body of a babysitter called Tara.
Dr. Farzan tells the LAPD that Tara died due to a severe blow to her head. Morgan finds Tara's phone continuously ringing and has multiple messages from Brett Lewis. The team finds out Brett Lewis and her husband employed Tara to look after their son, Ward. They also mention that Tara was often followed by a man with a French newspaper and a limp.
Morgan, with the help of Karadec, finds out that the limp man is a private investigator and former traffic cop Charles Lavoie (Ken Marino), also known as 'Chuck the Canuck'. Chuck revealed he was hired by Brett to make sure Tara wasn't mistreating Ward.
The case takes several twists and turns. It turns out Oksana, a fellow teacher, killed Tara due to fear of getting deported. The subplot shows how Elliot felt lonely after not being invited to his classmates' birthday party. We see Morgan on her Mommy duty once again as she turns protective towards her son.
