ABC's beloved TV show High Potential Season 1 is nearing its end, with just one episode left to hit our screens. However, this does not mean Morgan and Karadec won't return, as the show has been greenlit for another season at ABC.
High Potential is inspired by the acclaimed French series HPI and centers around a single mother of three— Morgan Gillory. What makes her special is Morgan's intelligence and crime-solving ability like no other at the LAPD.
The show began with Morgan Gillory finally getting to work with the LAPD and prove her excellence. Each episode follows a new and complex criminal case, with Morgan and Karadec teaming up to discover the truth.
As seen in the penultimate episode, the duo along with other team members and the FBI solved the murder of a tech entrepreneur Anson Pierce. Not only this, the episode also introduced viewers to Karadec’s former LAPD partner Agent Ronnie Oliver. It was filled with suspense and intrigue, and fans should now get ready to enjoy the intense and mind-bending season finale.

As previously mentioned, the penultimate episode tracked down the murder of tech entrepreneur Anson Pierce who collapsed and died after landing in Los Angeles. As the foam from his mouth indicated poisoning, Morgan and Karadec try to solve the case.
The LAPD along with Morgan are investigating the case, but their work is disrupted when the FBI arrives. Turns out the team is led by Agent Ronnie Oliver, one of the former teammates at the LAPD with whom he shares a tense history.
As the case begins, the LAPD finds out Anson Pierce made a controversial app that allows users to manipulate videos. Following its misuse, Pierce had several enemies including activists who protested against the app.
Later in the High Potential episode, Morgan and Karadec find their main suspect— Kenneth Sutton. He's a medical toxicologist whose daughter committed suicide because of a fake video created through Anson Pierce's app.

When the team tries to bring Sutton in, he panics and dies by falling from a staircase. His actions suggested he had a clear motive, but Morgan claimed he wasn't working alone.
While investigating Sutton's house, they found his daughter's book which led them to another man named Parker. He was Sutton's daughter's ex-boyfriend and Anson Pierce's security guard.
Morgan pieces the findings together and finds out how the murder happened. Sutton had left the poison on a bouquet and the same was retrieved by Parker from his ex-girlfriend's grave. He then put the poison on Pierce's dog, and when the tech entrepreneur came into contact he died.
High Potential Episode 12 ends with Oliver solving his issues with Karadec and apologizing for his past actions. This way, the episode captured a complex murder case while also exploring Karadec's past.
What to expect from High Potential Episode 13?
The LAPD must prepare for the high-stakes and unconventional kidnapping case. Unlike typical criminal cases, the Season 1 finale will follow a case in which Morgan and the LAPD will have to solve puzzles and navigate board games to get closer to the suspect.
The board games in the kidnapping case will play a major role, making the investigation a unique intellectual challenge. The last episode promises suspense, unexpected twists, and dynamic character moments.
