Twisted Metal is based on the legendary PlayStation video game series. It's set in a post-apocalyptic world where society fell apart in the early 2000s. What’s left? A lawless land ruled by violence, madness, and killer drivers behind the wheels of heavily armed vehicles.
Think of it as Mad Max meets Death Race, with a dash of dark humor thrown in.
In Season 1, we met John Doe, a charming but memory-less driver known as a “milkman.” In this universe, milkmen are not your average dairy guys — they deliver sensitive packages across deadly territory.
John gets a once-in-a-lifetime offer: if he can deliver a mysterious package across the ruined United States, he’ll be granted a permanent home in the safety of New San Francisco. Sounds easy? Not really. He must dodge psychotic enemies, killer clowns, and dangerous terrains to get there.
Twisted Metal Season 2 is official
Mark your calendars: Season 2 premieres on July 31, 2025, only on Peacock. Yes, we’ve known it was coming since February when the teaser trailer dropped, but now we have a date, and fans are already counting down.
Just like Season 1, Twisted Metal Season 2 will stream exclusively on Peacock. So make sure your subscription’s active before the chaos kicks off.
Our favorite fast-talking milkman is back! Anthony Mackie (a.k.a. The Falcon from the MCU) returns as John Doe, and this time, the stakes are much, much higher.
We’ll also see the return of characters like:
- Preacher (Jason Mantzoukas)
- Bloody Mary (Chloe Fineman)
- Miranda Watts (Jamie Neumann)
These characters were introduced and developed in Season 1, and now they’re stepping into the spotlight.
While their exact roles are still under wraps, expect these actors to bring intense energy, quirky characters, and maybe even a few surprises. In a world this wild, anyone could be a hero — or a villain.
Season 2 brings in a deadly twist: a tournament. Sixteen drivers, each with their own twisted dreams, will face off in high-octane combat. The prize? A single wish that can change their lives forever.
It’s not just about survival anymore. Everyone’s fighting for their ultimate dream, whether it’s revenge, redemption, or something much darker. But only one can win.
Season 2 is set to deliver an adrenaline-pumping blend of action and comedy. Expect faster cars, louder explosions, and way more carnage, along with the same ridiculous humor fans loved in Season 1.
Not everyone will make it out alive. The tournament forces characters to battle to the death, and loyalties will be tested. Expect betrayals, alliances, and shocking twists.
Season 1 spent time developing the side characters so we’d care about them later, and now’s the payoff. All three have strong personalities, complex backstories, and deadly skills.
They’re not just filling space; they bring heart, humor, and high stakes. When they go head-to-head in the tournament, it’s not just metal that’ll clash — it’s ideologies, fears, and past traumas too.
If you grew up playing Twisted Metal on PlayStation, the show is a dream come true. Season 2 promises more nods to the game’s chaotic energy.
Season 1 ended on a note that begged for more. Now, with a proper tournament, character arcs colliding, and a major prize on the line, fans are in for a wild ride.
Twisted Metal Season 2 is gearing up to be an action-packed thrill ride filled with unforgettable characters, chaotic battles, and a storyline that cranks up the stakes like never before. Whether you’re here for the nostalgia, the wild humor, or just love watching things go boom, this season won’t disappoint.
So mark your calendars for July 31, start your engines, and get ready for war on wheels.
