"He is there to save himself" - Beast Games fans react to Deano picking Jazmine for the chopping block

Beast Games episode 7 brought an emotional challenge to life on January 23, 2025. The episode was released on Amazon Prime Video and saw Mr. Beast give life to the trolley problem. For each challenge, the players had two difficult choices and they would have to pick one to save. This created controversy among them all.

With the last challenge in particular, Beast Games viewers saw Deano picking Jazmine for the chopping block along with him. The challenge began with Twana being the captain of the last trolley problem. She had to put two contestants on the opposing tracks for elimination. Her choice was Deano, player 380, and Queen, player 817.

As a twist, Mr. Beast asked the players on the track to choose a partner. Deano picked Jazmine, player 697, who is an ally to Twana. This caused a huge emotional dilemma for the captain as she was hoping to save Queen from elimination because she respected her as a strong competitor on Beast Games.

Queen also picked a worthy player, JC, player 566, who is an LGBTQ+ advocate. The episode ended on a cliffhanger and we will only see who got eliminated on episode 8 next week.

Beast Games fans react to Deano picking Jazmine

Beast Games fans are now divided over Deano's choice to pick Jazmine for the chopping block. However, many claim that this was a smart move as Deano is here to win the competition just like the rest of the players and has picked the best option to save himself from getting eliminated. A user on Reddit named r/mrtn90 wrote,

"I hate everyone bashing Deano for picking Jazmine. He is there to save himself, so of course he is going to pick whoever gives him the best odds. If I were Deano and everyone started to complain about it, I would have gone, 'Jimmy, can I switch Jazmine out? Does anyone want to volunteer since you think I should not have picked Jazmine? Put your money where your mouth is?'"

Other Beast Games Reddit fans commented under the thread by supporting the view that Deano, indeed took the right step. They claimed that the game is of strategy and it is super important to make the best odds for yourself to survive.

They also did not like how the other players were reacting when Deano had picked Jazmine and said that they acted like they were on a "moral high horse for every single thing and decision" but would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed.

Beast Games fans also did not understand why the players who are safe from the challenge and will move forward to the finals, are "whining and complaining" about a decision that does not affect them at all. Another user named r/angel199x wrote,

"Yeah, its super annoying. Did they all expect him to roll over and die? All of them would have done the exact same in his shoes. Being strategic is what helps you survive. What pisses me the most off is that they all act like they're on some moral high horse for every single thing and decision.

They continued,

Well it's all fun and games until you're put on the spot, then someone else will pick out your flaws and your so called 'horrible nature' comes out, or made up... and it's off you go. Trust only yourself in the end if you want to win the 5 million."
