"Have a few doubts" — Love is Blind: Germany star Ilais expresses his feelings after meeting Hanni

Four new episodes of Love is Blind: Germany were released on Netflix on Jan 10, 2025, and episode 5 changed the dynamics of the group a little too much. While Tolga and Shila decide to call off their engagement, Ilias starts redeveloping his feelings for his pod girlfriend, Hanni.

Episode 5 of Love is Blind: Germany begins with Ilias continuing his conversation with Hanni. As the two talk, Ilias reveals to the camera how he is attracted to Hanni after meeting her. Further, when Alina, his fiancé, confronts him about the situation, Ilias agrees that he does have a certain attraction towards Hanni and that he can't control how he feels.

This changes the dynamics between the couple, as with each meeting, Ilias's feelings grow stronger than the last time.

Love is Blind: Germany star Ilais expresses his feelings after meeting Hanni

During his time in the Love is Blind: Germany pod, Ilias was dating Alina and Hanni. However, after Hanni said yes to Daniel, he too proposed to Alina, and all the couples flew to Crete to spend some time together before the wedding. However, after finally meeting Hanni on their vacation, Ilias seems to be unsure of his former decision.

"I did see Hanni yesterday, and it was great. And I did think, what would it have been like if it was us doing this? I though it over. I am still thinking it over." He continued, "But that doesn't change how beautiful things are right now here with Alina."

He also reveals how he hasn't been honest with Alina entirely.

"I know I haven't been completely honest with her yet. But, on the other hand, I really like Alina and don't want to hurt her."

Later, when Love is Blind: Germany stars Alina and Ilias sit down to talk about his conversation with Hanni, he tries to understand how Alina feels about Ilias getting together well with Hanni.

"Sometimes, you can get on with someone, but then it turns out to be more of a friendship thing. It doesn't matter what a person looks like. I believe it's more about what your feelings are towards them."

Though Ilias assures Love is Blind: Germany's Alina that it was nothing more than them just getting well together, he confesses before the camera how he is in two different states of mind.

"It's a really tough situation... because up until yesterday, I... I had no doubts at all. But since yesterday, I definitely have a few doubts."

Later in the episode of Love is Blind: Germany, at the pool party, Ilias also confesses where his head is to Hanni. He reveals how she was more than a friend to him and how he feels guilty about feeling that way.

"With you, I can 100 percent say that it's not only a friendship. I feel it's something more with you and I think about where this could go. And I think that's the reason I feel bad. And it feels wrong talking to you right now."
