Fallout, the American post-apocalyptic drama series, was renewed for Season 2 days after its release. The series received worldwide critical appreciation and 17 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
The story follows the events in the aftermath of the Great War of 2077, a nuclear exchange between the US and China that led to an apocalyptic atmosphere.
Fallout is based on a role-playing video game franchise created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. The show is created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video.
Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan's brother) and Lisa Joy's Kilter Films were joined by Bethesda Game Studios as executive producers on the show. Nolan has also directed the first three episodes.
While there is not much casting information available for the new season, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is reported to have joined the show for Season 2.

Latest Production news on Fallout Season 2
Nolan confirmed in an interview in August that the production of Season 2 is confirmed to begin soon:
“We learned an awful lot about the characters and the way they interact and talk with each other and the exciting possibilities for different encounters between characters who maybe haven’t met each other yet,”
He further added, talking about his experience in Season 1-
“But we also figured out how to make all the monsters, and there are more monsters, more environments, more factions that we are currently designing and building right now to begin production quite soon. So we’re really excited.”
Leslie Uggams, who plays Betty on the show, confirmed that the second season will begin shooting soon-
“That is an amazing, amazing show. I am with the Vault People, so I didn’t get to see what the Earth people were doing. So when it came on, I was blown away. But Betty’s got some things up her sleeve. Just stay tuned,”
She further confirmed the shooting schedule for Season 2, adding-
“We start November. I’m excited about it.”
There is no release date for Fallout Season 2, but the show is expected to drop all episodes at once, like Season 1.
