NBC has released the trailer for its upcoming sitcom, Happy's Place, which marks the return of Reba McEntire as a lead actress on television. The show stars the country singer as Bobbie, a woman who gets her father’s restaurant named "Happy’s Place" as an inheritance.

However, Bobbie’s life turns upside down when she learns of a half-sister, Isabella, from one of her father’s affairs. As the two half-sisters reluctantly become business partners in the restaurant, their lives intertwine, leading to chaos and comic moments.

The trailer gives a glimpse of all the action that is about to take place at the restaurant and introduces the audience to several hilarious characters. At the same time, some scenes run high on emotions, hinting that Happy's Place would be a heartwarming watch.

NBC’s Happy's Place: 3 major takeaways from the trailer

Here are the three significant takeaways from the trailer of Happy's Place:

1. Sisters’ bond takes center stage in the show

The camaraderie between Bobbie and Isabella is seemingly the highlight of the sitcom. The two women have a huge age gap and have starkly different personalities, with Bobbie seeming to be uptight, while Isabella appears to be happy-go-lucky and outgoing.

The trailer has many references which point out the importance of a family. This indicates that Bobbie and Isabella might grow close eventually and accept each other as their family members.

2. Humorous dialogue and characters

The trailer features several dialogs that will certainly make the audience chuckle. Along with that, we see quirky characters with impeccable comic timing. One of them is Gabby, the dramatic bartender played by Reba McEntire’s Reba co-star Melissa Peterman.

In one of the scenes, when Bobbie is shocked by the news of her father having an affair, she recalls how her dad used to say that family is the most important thing. To this, Gabby replies, “Maybe that’s why he started two of them.” The comedy feels effortless and natural and leaves the audience asking for more.

3. The trailer features a theme song by Reba McEntire

Being a Grammy-winning singer, McEntire has lent her vocals to the theme song of Happy’s Place, which plays in the background throughout the trailer. The actress took her friend Carole King’s help to write the track. The song has a feel-good vibe, which goes well with the series' premise. At one point, McEntire sings, “See a smile on someone else’s face, right here at Happy’s Place.”
