The hit comedy show Hacks Season 4 will be back this year. The show revolves around Jean Smart’s Deborah Vance, a comedy legend, and Hannah Einbinder’s Ava Daniels, a young comedy writer, and their lives and relationships with each other.
Season 3 of Hacks was loved by all, and fans can’t wait for the new season to drop, as in the new season, Smart’s Deborah will venture into a new height of success after getting her late-night show.
The logline for Hacks Season 4 states:
Tensions rise as Deborah and Ava endeavor to get their late night show off the ground and make history doing it.
Every season, the comedy show adds popular faces to its guest-starring lists. For the new season, they have added 13 stars, including big names like Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, and Bresha Webb.

1) Julianne Nicholson
Julianne Nicholson is a popular name in Hollywood. A primetime Emmy award winner, she is known for her roles in Mare of Easttown, Law & Order, and movie roles like August: Osage County and I, Tonya.
Recently, she played the role of Samantha Redmond, also known as Sinatra, in the Hulu political thriller Paradise. She is the richest and powerful person in the bunker in the dystopian series and makes major decisions regarding the lives of the people in it.
She will be one of the guest stars in Hacks Season 4, however, not much of her role is revealed yet.
2) Michaela Watkins
Actress and comedian Michaela Watkins became popular after appearing on SNL in 2008 and 2009. Later, she appeared in Hulu’s comedy series Casual, playing Valerie, a recently divorced therapist. The show follows how she navigates her life after such a big change.
Watkins will be joining Nicholson as another guest star in Hacks Season 4.
3) Bresha Webb
American actress Bresha Webb shot to fame with her role as Immunique Jefferson in TV One’s comedy shows Love That Girl!. Her other famous roles include Run The Wilds and films like A Fall From Grace.
Webb is another popular face joining the new season of Hacks.
4) Eric Balfour
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre actor, Eric Balfour, is also known for his role in What Women Want. He was also part of popular TV shows like 24 and Six Feet Under.
Balfour will join Julianne Nicholson and Michaela Watkins as guest star in the new season of Hacks.
5) Robby Hoffman
The talented comedian and writer Robby Hoffman has written many shows like The Chris Gethard Show and Workin’ Moms. Hoffman also has released her stand-up special on Netflix called I’m Nervous and has appeared in the stand-up comedy show Verified on Netflix.
Other than that, she also hosts a popular podcast called Too Far with Rachel Kaly.
She will be guest starring in Hacks Season 4.
6) Gavin Matts
Known for his roles in Ramy and Jo Koy’s film Easter Sunday, Gavin Matts is a popular comedian and actor. His stand-up special Progression was a super hit.
He will play the role of a writer for Deborah Vance’s new late-night show in Hacks Season 4.
7) Katy Sullivan
The multitalented Katy Sullivan is known for her work on the screen and Broadway. She has appeared in many shows like NCIS: New Orleans, Last Man Standing, and her recent role as Esther in Dexter: New Blood.
Other than acting, Sullivan is also a Paralympic track and field athlete and also holds an American record after running in the London Paralympic Games in 2012.
Sullivan will join Gavin Matts and play a writer in Deborah’s new late-night show in the new season of Hacks.
8) Danny Jolles
Danny Jolles is another actor who will play the role of a writer and join Deborah’s late-night show’s writer room in Hacks Season 4. Jolles has also played the role of a writer in Brad Pitt’s movie Babylon.
His other popular appearances were in shows like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Ted.

Apart from the previously mentioned actors, Grover Whitmore, III, Jasmine Ashanti, Holmes, Sandy Honig, and Matt Oberg will also be joining Deborah’s late-night show’s writers' room in the new season of Hacks.
In season 3's ending, Einbinder’s Ava blackmailed her way into Deborah’s late-night show, which she initially didn’t give to her. The new season will pick up from this change in their professional relationship. While talking to Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, showrunner Jen Statsky said:
"There’s such a propulsive element to the Deborah and Ava relationship where it’s at now that it’s like, that new dynamic kind of informs everything. You have that as the base for everything, and then the late night show has been Deborah’s white whale for so long. There’s a lot of things we’ve been waiting to do that now we get to do."
Furthermore, it was also revealed that the new season will have many surprising cameos.
