Netflix's Battle Camp premiered on April 23, 2025, and featured 18 reality stars from various Netflix shows. Among them was Gabi Butler, a cheerleader from the docuseries Cheer and Cheer Season 2.

During her time on the reality competition show, Gabi was one of the strongest participants with an athletic body and a strong mindset. Her elimination, from a random spin of the Wheel, shocked all the participants, including the host. Battle Camp Episode 4 saw Gabi's elimination, which left fellow campmate Tony bursting into tears.

During Gabi's Tudum interview via Netflix on April 23, 2025, she stated that her early elimination felt "gut-wrenching" and unexpected.

"My elimination was definitely gut-wrenching. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. But I wouldn't have wanted to go out any other way because I had no votes when I was there. I just came off of a punishment win. I had an amazing team," said Gabi.

Gabi's team, Wolves, lost the previous task on Battle Camp. It resulted in the whole team's names on the spinning Wheel. It included Trey, Louis, Gabi, and Bri. From previous punishment, which Gabi won against Polly and Bri, saved Gabi from getting her name again on the Wheel.

There were no individual votes against Gabi on the Wheel. Hence, her name was only once among the total 18 spots.

Unfortunately, when the show host spun the Wheel, Gabi's name was chosen. Seeing the Wheel stopping on her name, all campmates were in shock. Before leaving the Battle Camp, Gabi told the participants to "finish strong."

In her Tudum interview, the female cast member said that, despite spending more time with her team on the show, she was "really grateful" for her experience.

"Even though I didn't have as much time with them as I wanted, I was really grateful to have been able to have at least a few days with them. I didn't have any votes the whole time that I was there, so if there was a way to go out, I think it was a good way."

Further in her interview, Gabi stated that voting against fellow campmates was the "hardest" part.

Viewers witnessed fellow campmate Tony leaving the camp the next morning after Gabi's elimination. While Gabi was eliminated, he could be seen bursting into tears. The next morning, he decided to leave the show.

When Gabi was asked about Tony and if she had been in touch with him since her elimination, she said:

"Tony lives 10 minutes from me. Literally. 10 minutes from me. I haven’t seen this man since he was sobbing (when I was eliminated). Tony followed me on Instagram the next day when I was about to fly home."

She asked him how he was on his phone because he was at the Battle Camp, where they did not have access to their phones. Responding to that, Tony said that he "kind of left."

Netflix is now streaming all ten episodes of Battle Camp.
