The 10th and final episode of Grotesquerie Season 1 will be dropping on October 30, 2024 on FX. This episode of the Ryan Murphy show is likely to bring a conclusion to the horror story where Detective Lois Tryon’s understanding of reality and her dreams gradually blur.
Episodes 8 and 9 were released together on October 23, and following the twists that have been revealed, fans are now eagerly waiting for the final episode of Grotesquerie.

However, not every question might be answered in the last episode as John Landgraf, FX Chairman of FX Content and FX Productions told Hollywood Reporter,
"We’re definitely considering doing more because, as you’ll see at the end, it’s like a series of Russian nesting dolls…"
So, there can be a story within a story that can make Grotesquerie Murphy’s next anthology series. However, there have been no official updates from FX in this regard.

What happened in Grotesquerie Season 1 Episode 9?
The ending of episode 8 made it seem like Lois was far from receiving absolution. Despite being a show full of Biblical references, it could not offer its own protagonist redemption with her admitting her faults and asking for forgiveness from the people she loved and cared about.
Episode 9 saw Lois meeting both Marshall and Meritt, her ex-husband and daughter, and unsurprisingly these meetings do not go well. Both Marshall and Meritt believe that Lois is the reason behind her own misery and so, when Lois announces that she plans to move to Tarpon Springs, Florida as she does not want to be associated with her life before her comma, they find this laughable.
Episode 9 also hinted at the fact that Lois’ dreams are probably not entirely imagined and they might be somehow predicting the future. However, even a world-renowned expert like Dr. Milton Smith was unable to understand how that could possibly happen.
Unable to figure all this out, Lois leaves for Florida. However, she has to come back midway and join Megan at a crime scene after getting a call from her. Lois is horrified to find that the crime is eerily similar to her violent dream.
As Megan and Lois wondered what this could possibly mean, Lois said someone must have had access to her files and are now recreating the murders to mess with her. However, that thought remains unsolved as the episode inches closer to its conclusion with another explosive twist on the way.
The episode saw Justin arrive at the motel where Megan and Lois are and start attacking the former. Lois comes out of the bathroom with her gun pointed at him, but Justin does not back down.
However, his overconfidence that Lois is never going to shoot him brings his end as he is shot on the head by Lois, bringing the episode to an end with a shocked Megan.
What to expect from Grotesquerie Season 1 Episode 10? (speculative)
Episode 10 of Grotesquerie Season 1 is bound to be an epic ride with physiological thrills and intense drama. Being a Ryan Murphy show, a few unpredictable twists can also be expected in the season finale.
The yet-unnamed episode logline on IMDb reads:
“Lois questions everything she thought she knew.”
Moreover, episode 9 also left a lot of questions unanswered including why Lois has been dreaming of murders that have not yet been committed and who is the killer. Father Charlie’s role in all of this, if he has any, is also very likely to be explored in the final episode.
