More on Grotesquerie
The official premise of Grotesquerie states,
"In FX’s Grotesquerie, a series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. 'Detective Lois Tryon' feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her."
Feeling lost and helpless, Lois turns to Sister Megan to try and make sense of what is happening around them.
“a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian”
Sister Megan has her own share of a difficult past and is well aware of the worst traits of humanity. However, that has not taken away her faith from the good that people are capable of.
On the other hand, Louis, with her own troubled personal life with her daughter and her chronically ill husband,
“fears the world is succumbing to evil.”
As these two start their journey toward finding the truth, they find things that raise more questions than answers.
