Grey’s Anatomy, ABC’s longest-running medical drama is back with its 21st season with more chaos and drama to unfold at Grey Sloan Memorial.
This season is going to pick up right where season 20 had ended, with Meredith quitting Grey Sloan Memorial to pursue her research on Alzheimer's with the first episode of season 21 premiering on September 26, 2024.
With 4 Primetime Emmy wins and innumerable other wins and nominations, Grey’s Anatomy has kept millions of fans addicted for almost 20 years. Since its debut in 2005, the show has kept viewers hooked, always asking for more.
Regarding the show being renewed for its 21st season, creator Shonda Rhimes stated,
“The loyalty and love of Grey’s Anatomy fans has propelled us into a historic 21st season, and I could not be more grateful. Meg Marinis’ storytelling is a gift that continues to keep the show vibrant, compelling and alive, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for next season.”
Release date and time of Grey’s Anatomy Season 21, Episode 1
The first episode of the 21st season of Grey’s Anatomy will be premiering on September 26, 2024, on ABC. Fans who are okay with waiting for a day to stream the episode will be able to do so the next day, i.e. on September 27, 2024, on Hulu.

Moreover, the drama that is to unfold between Catherine and Meredith will also be fun to watch. Since both of them are headstrong, they are presumably going to be butting heads over various things, including Meredith’s research and her attempt to reinstate Owen, Amelia, and Teddy.
This season is also possibly going to explore Catherine’s villainous era, as her complicated relationships threaten everyone in the hospital, especially when she states that she will replace everyone, resulting in Miranda Bailey coming forward and challenging her.
