On a recent news segment with Fox Business, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary provided his analysis of a dramatic Delta plane crash that happened recently in Toronto.
The aircraft was reportedly seen flipping upside down as soon as it landed. The incident was captured on video and shows that the plane, upon descending, touched down on its wings before they erupted into fires from under the fuselage. The entire plane thus skids across the runway.
In the footage, the reporter points out that the aircraft had slid over onto its belly, and this left the passengers hanging upside down inside the cabin. However, everyone who had boarded the plane was able to evacuate the aircraft safely.
The host of the news segment expressed amazement at how the passengers were able to survive what looked like a fatal crash and dubbed it a "miracle." Shark Tank's Kevin also agreed with him and organized the construction of the Delta planes. He said,
"Great construction, good for you guys!"

This survival of the passengers and the crew led to a discussion on the Fox Business News panel where Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary shared his insight into why the accident might have happened. He said,
"It looks like to me I'm gonna speculate, although not supposed to, looks like the undercarriage on the right wing broke. The wing hit the runway maybe a snowbank, broke off, caught fire, flipped over."
For the unversed, a Delta Air Lines passenger jet had just made a crash landing at the Toronto Pearson International Airport. The incident happened on February 17, 2025.
The flight was from Minneapolis to Toronto. The aircraft was a Bombardier CRJ900LR, carrying 76 passengers and four crew members. As soon as it touched the runway, the plane made a hard landing.
This caused it to skid and flip over, leading to a huge fire. However, the fortunate part was all the people on board survived the crash. As per CNN reports, 21 did sustain some injuries, and two of them are in critical condition.
Further reports suggest that many passengers found themselves hanging upside down by the support of their seatbelts while the smell of jet fuel was all over the place. The crew members were swift in the evacuation and guided the passengers to safety.
After the incident, The Transport Safety Board of Canada initiated an investigation into the crash with the help of the US National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
CNN has reported that flight data and cockpit voice recorders have been recovered and will help provide information regarding the cause of the accident.
Shark Tank season 16 episodes are released on Friday on ABC at 8 PM Eastern Time. They are later available to watch on Hulu.
