"Gotta learn how to manage": W.A.G.s to Riches star Sharelle advises Mjaé about not "shutting down"

The first episode of W.A.G.s to Riches Season 1 aired on January 22, 2025. The first episode, Wives. And. Girlfriends, featured a conversation between Sharelle and Mjaé.

The duo met in the park, where their kids played while the two interacted. Mjaé opened up about facing issues in her relationship with Kodak and "shutting down. Sharelle advised her not to do that and asked if that was the example she had set for her daughter.

Sharing more on the subject and telling Mjaé about how she can manage certain situations, Sharelle told her:

"You can't shut down the world because you got clients contacting you. They callin' me lookin' for you. You gotta learn how to manage. He really is draining your energy."

W.A.G.s to Riches Season 1 Episode 1: Mjaé opens up to Sharelle about her dating life

W.A.G.s to Riches Episode 1 featured a playdate between Mjaé and Sharelle's kids. While they enjoyed playing in the playground, Mjaé opened up to Sharelle about her current relationship with the artist Kodak.

When Sharelle asked about how Mjaé was feeling, she mentioned:

"I would say, you know, he was a lot worsen with, like, you know, the girls and everything or whatever, but..."

Listening to Mjaé struggling in her relationship, W.A.G.s to Riches star Sharelle suggested she consider therapy. However, Mjaé was not open to the idea and quickly responded that she didn't "need no damn therapist."

Sharelle pushed further and said she was also saying the "same thing" initially. Mjaé was quite adamant about her decision not to need therapy. Further in the meeting, when Mjaé seemed hesitant to open up, Sharelle asked her if she wasn't "feeling it."

Sharelle and Mjaé further talked about whether the latter's "ways" were crazy or not. W.A.G.s to Riches star Sharelle told her she had been trying to contact Mjaé. However, since she "never answers" her phone, Sharelle could not reach her.

She also mentioned how Mjaé always "disappears." A flashback clip featured Sharelle, who was on a FaceTime call and shared how she could not contact Mjaé. She mentioned that Mjaé wanted to buy a new car for Kodak. She also mentioned it was after Mjaé "busted all the windows" of Kodak's car.

Referring to the incident, Mjaé shared with the cameras:

"I just wanted to take my anger out in my own yard. I regret it, but it's only so much that someone could take, you know?...That's the reason why I don't drink Hennessy anymore. I'm on some mature s*it now. The blue and white bottle. None of that rah-rah rowdy s*it no more."

Further in their conversation, W.A.G.s to Riches star Mjaé mentioned she was thinking of "just co-parenting" with her partner and nothing further in their relationship. She mentioned focusing only on the "kids, rapping, and real estate."

Sharelle asked Mjaé about her "coping method" and how she "shuts down." Mjaé accepted it and shared that sometimes she "didn't feel" like posting or talking to anybody. Sharelle shared how Mjaé should not be "shutting down" because some clients keep trying to reach her, but later they're unable.

Mjaé said that whenever she "shuts down," she gets "distant," and for such behavior, she was "working on" it. Listening to that, Sharelle asked if she wanted her daughter to shut down like she does. Mjaé replied that she would "hate" to set that example for her daughter.

Responding to that, Sharelle told her that was what she was doing. Further, in the first episode, Mjaé confessed that she would listen to what Sharelle suggested. She mentioned she wanted to be where Sharelle was "in life."
