Episode 6 of Good American Family, titled "Not Today Satan," recently aired on Hulu and picked up from where the fifth episode had left off. The latest episode presented a poignant picture of Natalia Grace as she struggles to keep up in school now that she is forced to live on her own. On one hand, she is tormented by Kristine, and on the other, finds it difficult to live alone without any support.

The sixth episode of Good American Family also saw Christina Hendricks appearing on the show for the first time as Cynthia Mans.

Here's everything we know.

What happened on the latest episode of Good American Family?

The latest episode of Good American Family opened with a scene of Natalia Grace struggling in her GED class. She has been consigned to live alone by the Barnetts, all on the allegations of her being an adult who must now become financially independent. When Natalia is given a school assignment to write about herself, Kristine threatens her against writing what she wants to and compels her to write according to Kristine's will.

Living on her own didn't prove to be too delightful for Natalia, as the house she lives in has too many stairs. Moreover, school is at a great distance from her new home, and therefore, she has to undertake a treacherous trek every day, which in turn causes her feet to bleed. It is in such a moment of despair that Cynthia Mans, played by Christina Hendricks, shows up to help Natalia. At first, Natalia is reluctant to accept help, but Cynthia eventually convinces her to let her see where she lives.

Upon finding the deplorable conditions Natalia lives in, Cynthia offers to invite her over for dinner to her own place with her family. However, she is seen using Natalia's EBT card for purchasing the supplies since her own financial condition is a bit sketchy at the moment. She also sets forth the process of transferring Natalia's disability checks to herself instead of the Barnetts.

By the end of the episode, Kathrine tries her best to convince Cynthia that sheltering Natalia is a bad idea after all.

Christina Hendricks speaks about the Hulu show

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Christina Hendricks spoke at length about her character of Cynthia Mans, and the show in general. When asked about whether Cynthia had any ulterior motives while helping Natalia, Hendricks answered:

"It’s very clever of them, (she) seems like a place of safety, a place of comfort, but then there’s these little moments where you go, ‘Wait a minute, that doesn’t seem quite right. Is she taking advantage of her? Is she true to her word?'”

When asked about her character's motivations, she said:

"I think it was really important to have those little moments because (I) come in at a time where we’re flipping perspectives, so it really needed to be a huge juxtaposition to what you were seeing from the Barnetts’ side. So, in order to do that, I needed to be a safe place, a loving place, a home that could take her in at a time when she had literally no people and nothing on her side."

Good American Family is exclusively available on Hulu.
