Good American Family cast and character guide: Who plays whom in Hulu's upcoming true crime drama adaptation 

Hulu's upcoming true-crime latest series, Good American Family, will premiere on March 19, 2025, and will dramatize the true story of Natalia Grace, which became National news.

In 2010, Grace, a Ukrainian-born American girl with Dwarfism, was adopted by the Barnett family, who later accused her of lying about her age. The Barnetts claimed that Grace was an adult and was lying about her age.

They filed a petition in court, placed her in an apartment, and moved to Canada with their biological children.

Good American Family will revisit this shocking case. This was also the subject of Max's documentary trilogy film series, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.

The main cast of Good American Family

1) Ellen Pompeo as Kristine Barnett

Pompeo needs no introduction, as she is best known for playing the character of Dr. Meredith Grey in ABC's longest-running medical drama, Grey's Anatomy. This Hulu series is Pompeo's first project after Grey's.

She is also known for her appearances in Catch Me If You Can, Daredevil and shows like Friends and Law & Order.

On Good American Family, Pompeo will star as Kristine Barnett, Grace's adoptive mother. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Pompeo discussed her role and decision to take up this character:

“You’ve always been looking for something to show a completely different color than what you’ve been showing people for 20 years and this is it,”

2) Mark Duplass as Michael Barnett

Duplass is best known for the Netflix documentary Wild Wild Country, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series category in 2018.

He is recognized for his roles in Big Mouth, The Morning Show, Manhunt: Unabomber, and When the Streetlights Go On.

Duplass will portray Michael Barnett, Grace's adoptive father. The trailer reveals that Michael works diligently to help Grace adjust to her new family, but they soon observe her 'sinister' behavior.

3) Imogen Faith Reid as Natalia Grace

Reid is best known for her roles in Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, The Witcher Season 3, Les Misérables, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. This is Reid's first appearance as a main lead in a TV series.

Reid will portray Natalia Grace in the upcoming Hulu series, and she shared the news via her social media:
